AR-15's

Just picked up the PRO today, very pleased with the quality and the look. Eotech will have to wait.

Yes I agree. I shot my rifle for the first time on Saturday, adjusted the irons( Polymers? LOL! )first and then the Aimpoint. On mine the windage was bang on, only the vertical needed a turn or three. Very easy to accomplish. So much fun to shoot with a red dot.

So I have this idea for a dream build AR. I'd build an AR using an AXTS AX556 lower (I'd look at the ATRS gen.4, ), Vltor VIS-KM3 (12" rail), Noveske SS 12.5" or 14.5" LW barrel, and a ELCAN SpecterDR for the 'big' parts. Who else would run a rifle like this if they could afford it?

Reasons:
- The AXTS (and seemingly the ATRS) are about the most ambi lowers you can get.
- Don't know why, but I'd like a monolithic (Oh! Sorry, a "Polylithic") upper, and Keymod seems lighter and easier to use than other modular rails.
- Also I've read that the Noveske SS LW barrels handle heat just as good or better then the "standard" govt or heavy (IIRC) profile barrels.
- I like the idea of an EOTech paired with a magnifier, but it was pointed out to me that a (CANADIAN) SpectreDR would be lighter, why not?

But all this is more of a
rifle. lol

Sweet Setup! I assume that that is the lightwieght version? How do you like that?

As it's my first. I have nothing to compare it to. It's the LW version. She shoot's great but I need to get out to an outdoor range to set a proper zero. At some point I'll swap the stock for a CTR with a proper lock, this one wiggles, it's my only real complaint. The front pivot pin was a bi*ch to remove but after I got it out and did a proper clean it's OK now. She currently wears G96 cologne and is looking even better after a wipe down.

Arms East advises that my Geissele trigger is on the way so next week I'll perform the necessary surgery and have a post-op follow up.

Love it. Doesn't block my vision really. Very handy to operate and doesn't cast a shadow from the barrel. And keep it light without extra mounting hard wear. Lots of guys in the states run it like this for the above reasons

We all spend ridiculous amounts, when the last of my gear arrives I'm going to start a "How much does it cost to get into shooting ARs and pistols from scratch" thread.

Nice rifle, what stock is that?

BTW you are under surveillance from 7 o'clock.
