I also have that magpul handstop kit on a couple of my uppers - it's very minimal and works well for me

Thanks! I'm going with the Hogue for a couple reasons. Not as common/trying to be different, I think it looks cooler than the CTR or MOE, and I think the rubber overmoulding will be more comfortable than the plastics of the Magpul (especially in winter). Apparently the buttpad is quite hard though.

Haha... I like 5.56 in at least a 14.5" barrel. Bullets're going too slowly, out of anything shorter. I've got the 7.62x39 7" PSA AR, 7.62x39 7" XCR, 7.62x39 7" and 11" Vz58's, and 9" .308 XCR to meet my blasty, short-barrelled needs
