AR-15's

That's pretty interesting looking one. How's it run? Sweet rifle BTW!

I got a chance to take her out to the range, and left some pics in another thread but just in case you didn't see them there, the brake works great. It makes spectacular fireballs, but it does a good job keeping the muzzle from moving a ton:

I ended up changing grips to keep my fingers away from the heat. It actually wasn't that bad.

In comparison though, I have another brake on a different rifle that does just a good a job of controlling muzzle rise, but doesn't make nearly as much fire:

The difference in barrel length is probably more important than the model of your brake. You could try to switch them to compare the result. The shorter the barrel, the more powder burns outside the barrel.

"Un plugged" Classic AR-15, This one not only says Colt on the side. It has the prancing horse with arrow logo. In this day of modern go fast gadgetry this really is kinda fun to shoot. It's light and absolutely reliable... If you don't shoot anything heavier than 55 grain bullets.

Use good shooting gloves, at least on the left hand.

Just finished another build with a 20" SS Jury Barrel in 30 HRT. NEA grey coloured billet set coupled by Yankee Hill push/pull pins and a CMMG bolt carrier paired with a DD bolt. This is charged with a BCM large handle and held onto with MFT furniture. The upper is completed off with a 15" MI slim rail over a JP adjustable clamp on gas block. The lower is outfitted with an SP billet mag release, Magpul B.A.D. Lever and CMMG LPK.

Scope will be change to a 2x10 Vortex to take advantage of the 20's". Also waiting for a precision butt stock assembly from Brownells.

Another suprise Sunday deliver of a Brownell precision stock assembly. Changed out the temporary collapsible buttstock for my planned stock to complete my long range 30 Herrett.
