Seeing us with 14.5 or less barrels probably kills ya.

But not as much as it kills you to see us with 30 round mags. We can have the 14.5 inch barrel if the flash hider is permanently fixed or if you get permission from the federal government, which is a serious pain.

is it a colt, or where did you get the a1 upper from ?? I am jealous now and need to build a nice plain rifle like that.

Olympic Arms. It came with the A1 sights and a trapdoor stock originally. I got a new stock about 3 months after I bought it and i'm planning on getting an A2 upper shortly.

Mine.. Can you spot the LaRue goodies?

No  I was going to but their availability is limited (didn't want to tango with U.S export). I went with the strike knock off. It's powerful and seems to adjust well. I'll have to take it out and see. I read some good reviews on arfcom IIRC.

weird!

I know, I had it the other way around, and it definitely looked better... but it works much better this way, believe it or not. Co-witnesses the iron sights nicely, red dot's nice and easy to see, as the carry handle isn't in the way of the view.... looks REALLY weird, though. I think I'll end up buying another BUIS for it and setting the carry handle aside :runaway:

another pic, to see how odd it really looks :p

What do you mean? He just didn't pass the sling through its loop as to make it adjustable. The rings on the stock are like the others. http://www.snipercountry.com/photogallery/C7A1_C9A1.jpg

Notice the sling on that picture. Pass the top end of the sling through the top loop first. Then pass the end through the loop fastened to the sling. Then pass the end of the sling through the loop on the buttstock, after fixing on your second plastic loop to your sling. Fasten whats left extra but passing it through your second plastic loop. Very hard to explain but so simple. He just skipped a step.
