AR-15's

Added a new toy from my buddy, The Green Bastard

My new Colt GAU-5 "tribute" carbine. I can't calĺ it a clone, as there are a few things wrong that I probably won't correct. The Lower Receiver ought to be fenced with a Push-Pin up front, however that is the original Colt Lower for this Carbine and it would be impossible to match the Colt Grey anodizing. Also the Bayonet lug ought to be milled off, the Front Sling Swivel should be retained by a split-pin rather than the rivet, and the BCG should be phosphated.

The build is based on an original Colt AR15 SP1 Carbine that came with the correct aluminum Buttstock, a hard-chromed BCG, Geissele 2-stage Trigger, and a SpikesTactical 11.5" cold-hammer forged Barrel Assembly with a Brownells' "faux" Moderator.

I have a feeling I've seen push pins for large hole lowers for sale down south, either way, fantastic looking build! I thought it was a Reissue piece at first.
