Never seen a KX3 on a gun over 11 inches before. Interesting gun you have...

I'd throw a KAC RAS on it and then a AimPoint and and put back the A2 on the end and I'd say shed be all set, for me atleast...

Well i guess its my turn to add.

Hello all!!

Though I would share my latest personal build. When I started this one, I wanted a “Do all” general purpose carbine, that I could shoot both Service Rifle, and take tactical CQB courses with both here in Canada, and if possible, the US. Its not quite done, and there will still be some changes but for now I thought I would share and see if there were any thoughts

Note: before anyone asks, yes I'm a LH shooter:)

  • Stag Arms Upper Receivers with ramp cuts, with Dust cover Forward Assist
  • DPMS S/S TiN Coated Bolt & Carrier Group

  • KAC 300 BUIS

Note: the rounds pictured are my 55 grain FMJ dummy rounds for test feeding purposes and are there simply for display

The last few changes and/or additions I am contemplating are:
  • a Stainless Hbar with a 1-8 twist,
  • perhaps a surefire scout flash light for low light traing,
  • The mounting of an additional Mini red dot for quick upclose shots
  • few more rail covers
  • find a front point sling mounting soluiton

Look forward to all your constructive comments

regards and all the best

Thx for the kind words!!

I have always gravitated towards heavier Rifles/carbines, must be to in part to some of my back ground in precision bolt action shooting (all done for fun nothing formal).

If one looks at the specs, in the Magpul line the UBR at 1.56 lbs is second only to the PRS at 1.85 lbs. So it is a heavy stock. That being said, the offset, or resulting balance is really superb as it counters the Hbar profile AND the TRoy MRF-R (which while heavy duty, is not light either) extremely well, and for me, actually improved the rifles "point-ability".

Further being a left handed shooter, the UBR is bar none the most flexible stock I have come across to date, I was not only able to switch over both QD swivle point, but the compartment door as well.

As for entire weith, I have yet to weigh it but will do so and let you know.
