T,
I like how you took this picture. Can you give us some details on the rifle. :)
Thanks,
EC

Thanks EC.

It's a standard DD M4V5 and I upgraded the following:

Magpul MOE grip
Magpul AFG2 foregrip
PWS FSC556 Flash Suppressing Compensator
Spike Tactical ST-T2 buffer
Badger Ordnance Tactical Latch
B.A.D. A.S.S. ambi safety
Midwest Industries SPLP flip-up BUIS

The red dot scope on it now is just for tacticool for the pics and I'm looking to upgrade it. It's an old InterAims One V 30mm that I bought some 15yrs ago! Maybe an Aimpoint Pro or Eptech XPS2/EXPS2?

Looking at upgrading the MOE stock to a CTR.

I'm using an electronic kitchen scales, so it's fairly accurate. Yours could be as well; magazine, BCG and charging handle will probably run you close to another pound. The base weight of my PSD is 6.5lbs. The laser, optics and BUIS add a pound. And the AAC brake, upgrades to the CTR (RISR, enhanced pad), grip, magazine and rail accessories and it easily runs another 8-10 ounces.

Got the rest of the parts today and assembled it i weighed it complete with two loaded coupled lar mags and it weighed out to 7.4 lbs

A SCHOOL ZONE???!!!

SOMBODY PLEASE THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!!!

Nice build though. Did you have to pay tooth and nail for firearm optic worthy NV?
This NV is in the neighbourhood of $500-$800 depending on the package.

From there, it's like any toy and how good do you want it. How much do you want to spend?

I've looked at some of the commercial product that is sold in the big box stores, and to me, not worth the money, even as cheap as it was. And that is including the Bushnell stuff. Almost the same for some of the recent Soviet stuff that has made it's way to Canada. To me, they were borderline as to value for dollar.

Here's an updated/final configuration of the LMT308MWSE.

I don't own any restricted guns so I don't know if I am allowed to post in this thread but anyways - that is the most visually appealing black rifle I have ever seen anywhere. I could stare at the picture for a long time. the proportions and contrasting colours on the fore-end are striking!

pardon my ignorance, but is it restricted or non-restricted? just awsome. if there was a vote for nicest rifle of the year, this would be my vote!

Thanks - comments are always welcome! :D
Unfortunately, being an AR15-derivative - it is restricted (and even if it weren't, this one has a 16" barrel on it). The rail panels are alternating colours of LaRue index clips. The overall 'enhancements' exceeded my expectations, and I'm pleased so many people liked it. Thanks again!

wasnt loving my NEA so much aesthetically, needed something more..

might sound silly but the new gasblock has made the rifle for me all over again.
also the trigger wasnt exactly my cup of tea either.. so dropped in 3lb timney into it

what paint/colours did you use for the camo.. thats EXACTLY what i wanted to do with mine.. a darker brown scheme and just let it wear from use..

Both paint jobs were done with Krylon camouflage line of paint. OD green, Tan, Light brown, and a green called Italian olive which is more like a sage green. Base coated my primary rifle in tan, the backup got a base coat of OD. From there it was free style applications of all colours. I did find that once "complete" that a very light fog or dusting of tan shot almost parallel to the surface really helped breakup the sharp transitions between colours. There were lots of mistakes that required a reapplication of paint to fix, which is the nice part about rattle canning your gear.
