Ar-180b " let's see your rig"

Ok I stand corrected, but I still don't see it....on THAT rifle.....

Anywhere I've ever seen them for sale have them listed for LEO/MIL only...
What civilian would want one anyway? Teargas down your cul-de-sac?

You can use them for fire 37mm flares and such, or even bear bangers if you can find them...

You can get the 12 gauge "flare" adapters for them as well, and fire 12 gauge flares and stuff...

Essentially, if you ever put a full power shotgun round in that thing (in the adapter), it would blow up in your face... and they have warnings on them about only using flares and other ultra low pressure stuff...

A firearm has to meet certain criteria to be considered a firearm... Must fire a projectile over 500 feet per second, or have a certain energy content (4.2 foot pounds of energy at the muzzle)

37mm launchers and ALL the available 37mm rounds that its designed to fire are under the 2 criteria, and thus it is not considered a firearm.

With the 40mm launchers, they basically messed around with ammo until they got it to exceed the feet per second rating, and got them classified as firearms, although IIRC they are still classed as "non restricted" due to the single-shot characteristics of 40mm launchers...

Some of the info I posted could be wrong, since a lot of it is second-hand knowledge so take it with a grain of salt ;)

I put it on to piss off Liberals. Non restricted scary black gun with a "granade launcher". Being on a NR I can take it to my friends farm and shoot flares and bear bangers out of it for ####s and giggles.

You are going to make a lot of enemies around here with an attitude like that.

We DO because we CAN.

Hey, anybody see the new parts that Fabsports just put on their site for the AR180B?

Receiver block

It acts very similar to the Stormwerkz one I have, though with the Stormwerkz, the plug had to be cut down almost flush, instead of leaving .450".

The Canada I'm from we are still allowed to express opinions....the poster that I quoted didn't seem to have a problem with my post...why do you??

Mind your own business, and get over yourself....every post I've seen you reply to has been arrogant and holier than thou....

That is cool! Wish I'd seen that one before I bought the StormWerx one....
Thanks for the great info!

No problem. I also went with Stormwerkz, though with mine, I opted to keep the original stock, while making it a folder. You can see it fairly good in this picture, posted earlier in the thread:

All in all, I'm pretty happy with it.

Smak_Daddy...that is a beauty! How did you get the rear sight off? would love to set mine up like that!

I didn't do any work to the rifle, I bought it that way.

Casey Brouwer at Tactical Ordnance did all the work.

The trigger was polished.

Casey milled the rear sight off to make room for the rail. A section of rail was then sourced and fitted to the upper receiver.

The front sight was cut down and radiused.

The front sight and upper were re-parked and then gun-koted.

The front brake was turned down, then threaded to accept the PWS comp.

The scope on the AR180 is a Burris FullfieldII 3X9X40 Ballistic Plex on a Armalite mount and Midwest ind. rail.
My daughters only 15 so no RPAL for her yet but this AR-15 is what she wanted and picked out all the parts for it.
She is a true southpaw and though i shoot southpaw as well im right handed left eye dominant so pistols i shot with my right hand.

yup im like that too im left handed in everything but shooting, when i was a kid i realized my right eye was stronger so i switched to shooting on my right hand side.... best decision i ever made way more options for right handed shooters

is that a 9mm AR?

Yup Bushmaster Carbon-15 in 9mm.The AR180 is going to be my coyote rifle and all around bush gun.We have 2 sections of land that have been overrun with yotes the last 2 years and rent out so its our responsibility to clear out the yotes and rabbits before calving season starts.
