AR-180b

So if we supplied a NEW NON RESTRICTED AR180 TYPE rifle, by type I mean brought into the 21st centry, what would you feel is a fair price?
On par with an AR15 or slightly more expensive would be acceptable as it would be a specialty item.

That being said, everyone will ##### and moan that it is too expensive, regardless of the price.

T97 ? Tell me more please

Norinco Type 97, the one the RCMP has put in permanent limbo. The Tavor clone. Canada Ammo is pre-selling them at $849.99, $899.99 once they get in. While it's not an AR it's close. It was affordable, shot .223 ammo, looked cool, etc.

We'll never ever see it.

I know you guys are very good with importing product and when you say it's going to happen, it usually does. If you were to bring in some sort of AR type firearm that was built just as good as the 180B, had some more upgrade options, (like changing uppers maybe to say shoot .22) and was priced the same as the last importation of 180B's brand new, I'd be in. Unfortunately I am pessimestic even about the Umarex .22 Colt M4 being non-restricted. I have my name down for one of those too as well as the T97. Right now I am not hopeful. Hopefully I will be wrong.

The guys that complain are the same guys that have no money and use up their parents bandwidth down loading #### in their parents basements while plotting their next CGN group buy using their Iphones............ paid for by their parents.

T 97 Norinco - Sorry I was a bit slow, I was thinking ArmaLite.
It will be tough to compete with Norinco on pricing. I have no worries on the legality, the design is in my head, not in production, at least not yet, nothing exactly new, but then John Moses Browning never invented anything new and look at his designs.

It's a race then!

I don't plan to put mine into production, only building a couple for myself.

Not an AR180 but uses a similar gas system. It's a mix and match of all sorts of rifle designs. Mix between AR15, AR18, SCAR, ACR, etc.

5.56mm for the first one, then I'll probably build a .308 one. I'm concept proving parts of the design on other rifles I own, sort of peice building it. Gas system is being tested on the AR180B, for example. Lessons learned from the billet AR180B lower are carrying over to this project.
