AR advice

Hey like you said, it's missing the M203 cutout and bayonet lug. They had to modify it for export. That's not the same barrel if you were to buy the same gun from LMT in the US.

Both of your picks are fantastic. I am inclined to support the Stag (an promote Arms East, who sold my mine this year - great guys!), but the LMT at ~$1500 is a really good deal. The Stag from AE appears to be about 100 bucks cheaper...

Call both dealers and see who'll give you the best price, though.

The option of buying the Chinese rifle is also valid; 95% of us shoot well-beneath the capabilities of our rifles, cheap knock-offs included. Personally I shied away from the Chinese model for political reasons, but don't let my nuances influence your purchase.

You'll have a blast with all three of those!

Are you really going to mount an M203 or use it with a bayonet? You originally said they were butchered with a fixed stock and funny muzzle device... which was incorrect. They have standard flash hiders and collapsible stocks. That is what I was responding to, as that is what you originally claimed they didn't have.

Also note that I never claimed it wasn't modified for export, just that they are available with regular flash hiders and collapsible stocks.

I've owned a couple of Stags bought from Armseast and Walter has won me over with customer service and price. For AR related things I will go to him first.

But since I have never shot and LMT I can not help you with a decent comparison.

223 Wylde Chamber, how do you fix that?

Don't tell me the lack of difference between that and 223/5.56. I want what the Americans have damnit.

Ream the chamber to 5.56 but I doubt its .223 Wylde - prolly just marked that way - thread the barrel and either get another receiver extension or drill the existing one.

I'll glad we can get LMT even with those neutered features...

The Wylde chamber is the best option regardless of export regulations. It was designed to safely squeeze all the accuracy possible out of military ammo, and it works.

Simply put the Wylde chamber is the fix.
