I've run all kinds of red dot/HWS sights over the years, mainly on AR platforms. I'm still, hands-down, a big fan of the EoTech HWS's...and have NEVER had any issues with them whatsoever (but I'm not using them in MIL/life and death situations either). I also was a big fan of my Aimpoint CompM4, which I eventually sold due to it's size/mass/bulk...and ultimately it was sitting in the safe instead of seeing use. I've owned/used Aimpoint T2's but sold them as well...simply due to the fact that I find their FOV less than ideal, even shooting both eyes open...it is just a personal preference thing. I much prefer/am used to the EoTech sight picture and prefer that FOV (one and two-eyes open), and as such I have pretty much trimmed the stable down to only include/only run EoTechs these days. Aim point does make quality kit...it just boils down to personal preference I think. I've had the chance to use a couple of the new Sig Electro Optics RDS type units as well...especially at their price point. Quality glass, crisp reticles, and simple controls...I'd choose a Sig unit over a Vortex for sure.
