Votes don't count in an issue such as this! You have to donate MONEY and gain influence! The gun community never sends money in any amount to make change. The gun law didn't change because of gunowners, it changed because of the costs it added to the national debt and tax payer's wanted cuts made!! We live in a debt cutting world that can't afford to live the way we are.

Firearm owners are just standing by waiting for the next massacre, and to see which political party will come after us next.
Ya, we all feel that way, one time or another.x1 Truer words could not be spoken.
There is currently a committee that is multi-partisan and is reviewing the constitutionality and effectiveness of current laws. This committee is headed by a gun owning MP and it's been made clear that he wants to put the gun laws up for review at the forefront.
What prevents us from using AR15s in the woods (or even handguns) is not that they're restricted, it's that the CFOs won't issue ATTs to take them hunting. You don't have to de-restrict the firearm. Just give us universal ATTs to take any gun shooting at approved locations.
Here in BC, once we get our Long Term ATT, we can bring it to any shooting range and gun smith in BC and YUKON. The LTATT expire when your fire arm license expires..

Ive said it before and I'll say it again, I'd have no problem with them remaining restricted if we could shoot the damn things outside of a range. I think it would be an easier sell to the public if we still had to jump through that one extra hoop to have a "restricted firearm", and honestly for how easy it is to get I dont think its that big of a deal for someone to have to learn about restricted firearms before they go and own one. I know it kind of sucks for us but I think all hell would break loose if the media spun it the wrong way on us as 99% of people arent as well informed about firearms as the people on this forum.
Just my 2 cents and I could be way off base but I refuse to believe this cant be beat somehow, saying it cant or wont happen isnt going to help our cause in the least. I think its time for me to become a member of the CSSA and NFA.
I agree that being able to use them is my argument. It's just that de-restricting them will require a lot less paperwork than issuing permits to hundreds of thousands of shooters.
