maybe its to late, but that round fits perfectly in an M1 carbine mag. however it would be limited to 5 rounds, not 10 .

if this comes to fruition I would at least like to try an upper. I have often thought that round would work well in a carbine.

Thanks for posting Doc! Looking at that the bolt carrier and the amount of filth on that lower it's a DI rifle? Any reports of longevity issues with the bolt etc?

I'm wondering what the recoil impulse is comparable to?

Got confirmation -M1Carbine mag fits. It's a good 5 shot option.

That AR in a 10.5 version would be incredibly destructive on FA. Recoil wouldn't be bad, either.
