Hey y'all, just got my first ar15 in a trade on cgn. It is a 16" bushmaster xm15es2 with a keymod rail. The previous owner had put about 500 rounds through it. So I took it to the range with 5 different magazines and 3 different types of ammo. Over the course of the day I had multiple issues. With the 55 grain ammo it would cycle but would not hold open when empty. Using the 62 grain ammo it would always eject a spent casing but never load a new one in. It essentially became a bolt action that I had to rack after every round. Using different mags made no difference, although the norinco mag straight up didnt fit. The gun was extremely accurate though blowing a hole the size of a nickel out at 50 meters with my eotech. Anyways, Im wondering if I am missing something or doing something wrong as this is my first ar and have had basically no experience with one before. I know I am seating the mag fully so that isnt an issue. I checked the bolt and it seams to be in good condition. Any insight from someone who has experience with AR's would be appreciated!
