AR15 Quality comparison

I think you're missing the point. Norc guns are not in spec which means their materials and craftsmanship is in question and a crap shoot at best. If yours works then good for you. Plenty of them that don't and as mentioned have a questionable production record. Something else to consider is that you cannot take your Norc to the USA, which is a problem for some.

Actually, I haven't heard of "plenty" of them not working - in fact, if you have a reference to a Norc not working, I'd love to see it. If we were talking Oly, I'd be right with you. I've fixed 3 or 4.

peruse the black rifle threads. There is a fair few. I don't think they suck to the level of nea/bcl, olympic, dpms panther but they aren't that great. Might be good enough to be a hobby grade ar, but as epoxy stated the time when it held the spot as the bargain basement ar that quasi worked is gone, especially with the m&p sport out.

I have been heavily abusing my DA556 Norc.
I mean shooting it hard and fast. Almost to the point of trying to break it.
And it just keeps going without pause.
It is surprisingly accurate.
Norinco AR's are good to go. Low price but high quality. Definitely higher quality than they get credit for anyhow.

Have to agree 100% with this. Most people bashing Nork/DA havent shot the hell out of one of these rifle or haven't shot it period.

Are they pretty ? Nope

Do they work ? Yup

I work with a Colt Canada C8 and beside the fun switch that I havent used in years, my DA556 does the same thing, shoots the same ammo and finishes ahead of a lot of people at CQB matches :p

I think a lot more people abuse the Norc rifles - shoot iffy ammo, neglect cleaning, and "torture test" them in an effort to see if they'll fail. I've yet to see anyone do most of the stuff that you'll see done with Norcs to their $2500 DD - things like mag dumps of Norc ammo for example, run nothing but steel case, or shoot a case of uncrimped 40 grain WWB after a case of whatever was cheapest last month at the gun shop. Considering the crap they go through, they do pretty well. After all, when was the last time someone said "I'm not running that ammo through my Norc"? Add to that the number of folks who have never stripped an AR, but buy a Norc to "rebuild" into a tacticool mall ninja special, and it's essentially a recipe for failure. Like I said, they don't do badly.

I'm mildly surprised that Colt LLC ARs are placed on the same level here as Diemaco/Colt Canada rifles. For one thing, I have a huge respect for the cold forged barrels standard on the Canadian rifle, I mean they are after all the heart of the firearm and the Diemacos are supremely accurate. Then there's the fact that Vermont Americans I know, who can of course own whatever they want openly and freely, have only a mild respect for the US Colt LLC ARs. I've been told that the main reason to own one is that they make them for the military but that there's really nothing special about them other than the slightly higher price over, say, a Windham Weaponry AR.

Currently have an Noveske N4
Was wondering what brand are what quality? Heard a lot of good things about noveske that’s why I got one
Also looking to get an MR223, how does it compare to the noveske ?
What tier would DD be compare to noveske or HK
What tier are what manufacturers? (HK, DD, Sig, NEA, PSA, Colt, cobalt, DPMS, S&W, FN etc)

I have both. Noveske Afghan and H&K mr223a3. Both are great shooters and made with the best parts without compromise. You cant go wrong with either but I prefer to shoot my Noveske.

The noveske is such a smooth gun to handle, never shot an MR223 so I’m gonna have to buy it , will be my first piston AR. Looking for an 11.5inch ones seem to be impossible lol
