Are magnum primers needed in 223?

I always used them with BLC-2 and H335. With Varget I used BR-4's. Good results with all, better with Varget/BR-4 but those were my big-pimpin' 77smk AR rounds babied on a single stage press, whereas the others were for bulk 55gr AR ammo done up on a dillon.

I have a line on some CCI mil spec sr primers. My research indicates they are basically magnum small rifle primers. I will be using H322 and maybe H335 in my 223 are mag primers really needed?

sikwhiskey you probably don't have enough brain power to be able to handle 2 languages and probably can't handle English all that well. There are still a lot of English living in Quebec so don't assume. My greatgrandfather came here from Ireland in 1820 and we have been here ever since.
