Are old-stock NIB P7M8's and P7M13's going to be available for $1,400 to $1,500?

Well, I've got my e-mail in. I'm really curious to see what turns up. All I am saying in this thread is "the Devil is in the details, and I'd like more details".

For P7 nuts like myself, this is all just too tempting, no matter how it turns out. I'm interested to see what comes out in terms of dates and markings. One of the M13's I have (the one shown above) is marked "AC" (2002) which is the latest date M13 I have personally seen in Canada. I'm sure there are later ones, I just have not handled them. The M10 I have is "KC" (1992), but overwhelmingly what you come across is pistols in the 1984-1989 range.

If pistols are from the 1980s, and they really are "new", "NIB", "like new", "near new" or anything like that, any of us that end up being able to buy one will end up with a treasure. I personally wouldn't mind seeing something from the 1990's or 2000's, as these seem to be less common in Canada.

Even if the pistols do end up being heavily used, the price is still very reasonable (if it turns out to be $1,500 or less). The price is way too low for NIB or "like new" or anything like that... and you know what your daddy told you about things that sound too good to be true. But, this probably will result in more P7 pistols being imported to Canada, and this is a good thing as far as I am concerened.

Warning: These pistols are highly addictive!

Yes rub it in my face why not. I hate yet you are my favourite person in the world right now. Accuracy internationals. P7s. We have similar tastes in firearms my friend.

Where do you live? Despite rubbing people the wrong way on this board sometimes, I'm actually not too bad a guy. If you live in the Vancouver area, you're welcome to meet up with me at the range and try some of those toys! I'll even introduce you to the "famous" hippo/nemo/Roger if he is around!

I actually thinned out my P7 herd when Electrobug finally decided to sell me his blue P7M10 (after 2.5 years of us talking about doing that deal!). I thought the M10 might show up in the mail today, but I'll have to wait until Monday. What I have for HK's now:

P9S (75)
PSP "IA" (80)
P7M13 "IE" (84)
P7M8 "IK" (89)
P7M10 "KC" (92)
P7M13 "AC" (02)
P2000 "AH" (07)
USP "AK" (09)

The dollar total on that collection is... ugly. But hey, you only live once.

nice collection of HKs. in addition to the P7s, i've always loved the P9s (and VP70s though they are pretty much gone).

I'm just razzing you bud, I am in airdrie alberta. If I visit vancouver or mission I will shoot you a pm about when I am going to see if you have some free time. You have never rubbed me the wrong way. I'm not the guy that gets jealous in a spiteful way because someone else has something I desire but is a bit beyond my financial capabilities. You have a lot of gear I want to own eventually. You have nice hardware. Arguably some of the best in the world. You don't need to apologize for it, nor should you take #### from someone that wants to try and bring you down to their level because they feel inadequate. But hey, if this goes through I have one P7M13. To be honest one M13 will probably be more than enough for me.

Currently I have a 2012 built P30L which I will do my range review on shortly(4400 rounds of fun), and a 2011 built USP full size(measly 700 rounds down the tube).

I'm eagerly anticipating the announcement of the P30X (striker fired P30).

Well ghostie, if Ryan is indeed able to bring in NOS M8's & 13's for $1500 or less it will be the deal of the year for sure. I remember seeing those prices ($1200-$1300) in 2005-2006 at dealers for M8's till HK ceased production in 2008. The M13's were rare & didnt sell very well up here but they were available for around $1k till 1993. Those M13's were manufactured from 1983 till the USP was introduced in 1993, but limited production was still in effect for years after in Europe tho HK always said, year after year that it was their last run...

I would like to get the VP70 to round out the collection (the only reason anyone gets one anyway! As they suck to shoot) if I can ever find a decent one at a decent price. They seem to get a little more scarce all the time... as you mention.

There was a guy selling an HK4 here for a long time, but he was against selling it to go to Dlask to be rebarrelled to restricted... so I couldn't do that one. That is the original HK pistol - based on the Mauser Hsc.

Other than that, there are just variations of the USP theme (or unobtainium P7 variations like P7K3) and I don't really want a bunch of those. Of all those pistols, although it is fun, the USP is probably my least favorite. My favorites are the 02 M13 and the old P9S. The others are about equal, with the P2000 and the USP rounding out the bottom of that list. Still nice guns, but they don't call my name to go to the range as strongly as some of the others. They are exceedingly tough and fool-proof, which is why HK went in that direction I think.

If I visit vancouver or mission I will shoot you a pm about when I am going to see if you have some free time.

You will be welcome to do so!

Yah, it does sound really good, so I'll just keep my hat in the ring and - like everyone else - just go into this with low expectations and my eyes open.

I've bought a lot of stuff from Ryan over the years. He is a good guy. I don't doubt him for a second. I'm just saying that - what the European supplier is saying - it sounds "off". These firearms sold poorly - as you are saying - when they were being marketed as HK's main line (20+ years ago), but ever since the plastic came into vouge the demand for these things has gone up and up and up with no end in sight. Let's face it, these are now some of the easiest firearms to sell. They are practically a form of "crack" for most gun enthusiasts. If someone was gauging interest for a shipment of new-old-stock Colt Pythons or unissued War-era German marked K98k's, I would have reservations... but I would also want my hat in the ring!!! I'm doing the same here.

If these were late model (2000's) M8's and M13's - that would rock my world. That '02 I have is such a nice gun. I actually like it better than some of the "Golden Age" (1980's) P7's I have (or had in the past).

i saw a vp70 at the Italian gun store in east van with my dad in the early 80's. wanted one ever since.

never been too keen on the new HKs

ya the attachable stock is pretty cool, particularly if you were shooting the selective fire military model.
