I have a thing for nice classic hunting rifles. Have seen a few parker hales that i liked. How do they shoot? On a side note if anyone is selling one PM me.

Parker Hale converted military Enfields, Mausers? In house produced Mauser rifles? What exactly are you looking at?

Parker Hales are generally well regarded, and are excellent hunting rifles. Excellent accuracy can always be achieved with premium ammo or good handloads.

Not too sure about the models but when i was in my local shop they had 3 of them, i think mauser action. They just looked nice and were very smooth. I just dont know the story behind them.

Their Mauser sporters are a fine rifle if in good shape. My uncle uses a 22-250 Parker Hale on coyotes, it's a MOA rifle off the bench and looks pretty good to boot. Their Enfield conversions are some of the nicer ones if that's up your alley as well.

^thats what i wanted to hear. As long as other people have good stuff to say about them. I am just not a fan of modern rifles so im looking for an old one

They are a well featured classic rifle. Stocks tend to be quite nice with very nice checkering. They are a control feed action, as mentioned, built on a commercial Mauser. Accuracy is defiantly there, with most rifles benefitting from an action bed and barrel float.

I refinished a buddys (30.06) that belonged to his deceased father. I took it apart and was impressed with the quality, machining, wood to metal etc. I sighted it in for him when finished and was even more impressed. Great accuracy and a nice shooter. I was able to witness him drop a calf moose with it at 125yds last fall.

I Have a parker and hale deluxe in 06 that I bought as a kid it is still my favorite that I pack as a saddle gun and just hiking the mountains has a light barrel so will open the groups if you do a lot of quick shots

I have one in 270 win, they are a well built gun and mine is light,I had a problem getting my reloads to group.I refinished the stock on it last week and found the allen screw under the trigger was loose and the trigger was adjustable,so lightened the pull on it.I had it shooting under 1' groups this week.I am very happy with it now.

We have 3 PH 1200C's and they are all sub MOA. Really nice finish on the stock and barrel. Mags for these guns are almost impossible to find but there is one for .270/30-06 on the EE for $120. If you're looking for a similar rifle check out the Weatherby Vanguard Series 2.

I have a 303 sporter conversion, its one of my favorites. The stock is a nice Monte Carlo stock, and the metal has been polished and deeply blued. Its been a great shooter and has taken quite a few deer.
