Are rifle prices going up?

I know of two firearm businesses who gave a grace period that prices will be increasing due to the falling Canadian dollar. Now that the grace period in up, so are the prices. I've also witnessed prices fall with some American firearms when the Canadian dollar was stronger, such as the Mark V Weatherby. It's nice to see businesses practice fair and ethical procedures.
 
We knew the dollar was tilting, so we had time to do our shopping before getting hit, it did not come as a surprise... JP.

Unfortunately he purchased the American about a year and a half ago.

Back in the turn of the century people worked from sun-up to sun-down, and then some. Your weekly hours mentioned doesn't even come close. Just a little pre and post confederation history for ya.
 
Always deals on the ee just need to look and act fast. Guys are always looking to sell old toys and buy new ones. Just found a savage 220 left hand for great price and saved myself 250 bucks. Just need to be reasonable and know your price points. Remember a used gun should sell for at least 75 percent of the retail price. Best deals are on the used market. New prices will be going up due the exchange for sure.

Tell us more oh wise one.

The chart he cited was for the United States, Canadian results would be similar. Considering the source (peer reviewed, academic, journal article) you can consider it quite accurate.

I studied pre confederation history in university. Mostly on the socialists (commoners/small business people) and indigenous people of Canada. My information came from my memory, but I'm sure they are still in the text books that I read.

Canadian history was my secondary concentration when I got my history degree. I'm sure we can find the exact stats on JSTOR, have to dig out my login info. Not that it really matters.

I got a 6.5x55 off a gun site instead of the one at the gun shop .. Cheaper and had a 50.00 scope on it for a bonus .
But the real deal was I ALSO got a custom built Mauser 33/40 in 257 Roberts with a Douglas barrel .. Now buying two guns of course cost me alot more than just buying the one at the gun shop .. But I think my point was ... Gun shops are not willing to deal like they have in the past because the new guns are going up
 
Its just the start of the coming hyperinflation ... don't worry about it , Hyperinflation is normal when governments run the planet with play money
