Not to worry, by the next rule book (the one after this abortion) we will be shooting off the bench with no holsters needed and we won't be able to move around either....and the new IPSC target that will be previewed in that rule book will look like this:

Have you seen this one from Shotgun section yet?

5.5.6.2 Only cartridges using conventional wads are permitted. Cartridges using
specialized long-range wads are prohibited (see Glossary). See Rule 10.5.15.

It seem to prohibits your favorite flight controlled buckshot...

Actually that is 7.62s favorite I have only ever used them for one stage at the Pan Americans.

But I would still be 100% pissed at any move to forbid technical progress such a rule would represent.

Here is another one:

5.5.7 All rounds loaded in the shotgun prior to the start signal must be of the same configuration (i.e. wad, velocity, propellant, pellet weight, pellet size, length, etc.). Violations may be subject to Rule 10.6.1

In other words, tactically preloading different ammo in certain order is not allowed

Yes apparently innovation is no longer valued or appreciated in IPSC. Improvements to guns and ammo should all have stopped at the invention of the Glock. Including shotgun stuff too.
 
Anyone that can help me to get one copy of this piece of... art? I am starting to get scared!

Just got motivation to practice again since 2006 and all these "changes" to come! Hope it's not the final version and they will not approve this.

I think that VP took offence when I carried his analogy of standing on bedrock to point out that it was actually quicksand.

Someone really needs to clean house over there.

Yes John, you are banned.
Apparently IPSC headquarter has to be moved to China - it will help to develop freedom of speech even further. I guess next step will be IPSC membership suspension for the members arguing with the wisdom of Vince the Great and other Party Leaders! Oops. IPSC is not a totalitarian partly - or is it?
 
LMAO! What else is there to do.....?

It seems IPSC is on a one way course to self implosion! Either we somehow collectively try to change it, or we jump ship, before it reaches critical mass! Seeing as Canada only has one vote..............???????

Maybe you will finally learn your lesson!
My 1 month ban really helped me see the error in my ways. Ours is not to question why, ours is to be told how things will be and agrree with it or leave. Who is the Canadian Region to question IPSC HQ? Its not like any of our IPSC Canada membership goes to HQ, so why should they care what we think.
 
Well I am going to have to look at the books and see what portion of my dues goes towards running Vinces private sandbox and demand a full refund.

I am obviously not getting my monies worth.

Some year EESA should make a bid for the worlds.........then I can ban VP from the property!!

Mind you if things keep going as they are IPSC will not be at EESA much longer.
 
This all sounds soooooooo familiar... De ja f**king vu, all over again.

For the record, I told Vince, on GV, last time this was discussed years ago, and it's still true: my FACTORY Baby Eagle has a sub 3lb SA pull.

He ignored this point then, and I'm sure he would refuse to address it now, so I wont even try.
