Eaglelord17 - You are inside my head Eaglelord17! Yes I am in fact hoping for a T38 or T99 used during the First or Second Sino-Japanese War (1937-1945) or the Pacific Theatre (1941-1945). Oh and I'm not really into last ditch T99s (forgive me).
Its ok not to be interested in specific forms of firearms. Personally last ditch of any firearms don't interest me. Just a small point, usually (I say usually as there are always exemptions) the Type 38s were used in China, and the Type 99s were used in the Pacific. The reason being to try and simplify ammo supply. The Japanese had quite a few different types of ammo in service at the same time, which was a major supply headache. Just a quick list which is in no way complete they had the 6.5x50sr, 7.7x58, 7.7x56r (basically .303 British), 7.92x57 (mostly captured Chinese weaponry, but some was purpose built or purchased as well), 9mm Japanese revolver, 8mm Nambu etc.
By trying to limit specific rifles to certain areas, it meant they didn't have to supply as many types of ammo to certain areas (and also meant supplying parts and replacements were easier too). I am going to be honest in that it might take a while to find one that is in great shape, however it is worth it in the end. Also these rifles shoot excellently provided you feed them good ammo.
