Looks great.

I think I'd like to Arma-Coat just the slide on mine.

Did the new Fusion sights just simply drop in?

just something I wanted to try....

Just got back from the range... Now my GSG dosent want to feed the cheap winchester stuff... Dont know if its the new arma-coat causing this or not...

Glad I had some CCi on hand....

I have a thread running about problems with my GSG. In there I mentioned someone had stopped using the "red buffers". I'm thinking it was you Dilligaf (?) because you had the custom guide rod made.

Can you tell me about the guide rod?

The "barrel" on the rear end of your rod is larger/longer. What was the reasoning for that? Does it increase compression of the recoil spring or was it just to take up the space of the missing buffer? To what effect?

Oh yeah..... GREAT looking gun BTW (and not just sucking up to get an answer :) )

Yeah my reasoning was to get rid of the buffer... But I think I was wrong, since now I get alot of FTF and FTE with the cheap winchester ammo... I didnt get those problems when It was stock...

And The slide is softer then the rod so afetr 500 rounds with no buffer I had a hard time getting the barrel out... Since the slide had a slight burr from the contact...

So I have a few more things to try out to try to get the cheap ammo to work...

But I use the buffer and washer with the CCI and it shoots awsomme... I only had 100 rounds of CCI today and not 1 stoppage... As soon as I loaded my mags with the cheap ammo... 1st round had a FTE and next round FTF...

I will put the factory ROD back in the next time I hit the range... See if thats the issue or the new Arma coating thats not fully worked in...

Hmmm, I've been having nothing but problems w winchester .22 as well and not before. I took the gun down and cleaned the #### out of it. Results were a little better but still problems.
I'm going to try some stingers and see if there's still a problem. Winchester= crap ammo?? Bad batch??
anyone else shooting a gsg find this recently?

Well this is interesting, and very familiar. I'm trying to remember now if anything changed after excluding (not replacing) my buffer.

And also interesting, I have the same issue taking the barrel out of the slide. It binds.

Seems if there are problems with the GSG, they are the same problems. Should make for an easier fix. Eventually :)

I wonder if a standard rubber washer from the plumbing department would do it? I might pick one up just to see if it makes a difference.

Im back in Gagetown for 2 weeks... Will try out other ammo when I come home...

Im sure its just an ammo problem... if CCI dont cause any stopages other shouldn't either,,,

Will pick up some blazers next time...

My gsg turned into a single shot when i tried win555.One day after i had cleaned and lubed it i tried win. again out of curiosity and they worked fine. The only difference was the gun was dripping in oil.

So what if I wanted my GSG to be different... Money is made to be spent... I can blow 500$ of ammo in 2 hours at the range... This GSG makes me save some serious money so I invested a little in it...

How many people buy $350 norcs and change all the guts to bring it up to what they want? A $700 norc.

How many buy a $50 k pickup trick and put $3 or 4k worth of upgrades.

It's all about personal taste.

You're being nice, in actuality you see lots of overdone 4x4 trucks around these parts I'm betting worth 100K easily in many cases. Stock just isn't good enough, no matter what it is. :D

Well after much searching i found ammo my gsg likes... the Blazer 525 Pack and Winchester Dynapoint...

No more winchester Xpert HV for me... The last batch wound even work in my gsg and now it even sucks in my SR22 with my Dlask barrel..
