Armalite AR180B Frequently Asked Questions, revised Dec. 26/07

And yet another Q: My biggest gripe with my 180B, though I love it dearly, is the vertical play between upper and lower receivers. I know that bending in the sides will cure the horizontal movement, but is there any known way to tighten up or fix the vert.?

Additionally, I'd like to thank Armedsask for recommending the Midwest Industries forearm. I bought one a while back, and it's über ###y.
Bend in the bottom or stuff a foam earplug in the lower.

Read the FAQ.

Are there any aftermarket choices if one wanted a chrome lined barrel? Is it possible to re-work an AR-15 barrel to fit the 180b?

Just curious.

Nope you cant swap it

I was going to line my 180b then the launcher fell into my lap somehow lol lol:D and I started to work on mounting that then other projects came up

This is totally all thanks to armedsask. When I am probably ~70yo, I will be able to join his rank of coolness. (serious)

Although he hates my scope mount... And I want to replace my butt...
GOSH! It's a work in progress don'tchaknow?!?

Just for curiosity sake, how much did all of that set you back?

I just wanted to take a second to post a big thank you to Armedsask for all the assistance he's given me and others with Bravo's.

Dude, your dilligence with the Bravo and your work towards the FAQ and individual assistance is very much appreciated. Thanks!

Can you fire it left handed or does the cocking handle move after every round? Why I ask is cause the British SA 80 has a similiar cocking handle design and it cannot be fired lefty. The handle smacks you in the teeth, trust me I know from experience.

Thanks in advance

JAY

The SA80 is a bullpup, therefore the action is right next to your face.

The AR180B is not a bullpup, the action is way out in front. It can be fired from either side no problems.

As for your experience, I'd sudgest trying for a little more so you understand the basics of firearms designs. :D
