Anyone else own/owned one of these?
I have one and plan to take it shooting Tuesday.
I bought it when I first got my RPAL when I was 18 years old. I wanted a real AR but couldn't afford one with the paltry wage I was making, so a friend offered to sell me his AP-74 for $200.
It's a bit picky on ammo, but I found a couple of brands it likes.
Too bad it's a restricted "AR Variant" because it would be a blast to shoot gophers with.

I found Stingers work flawlessly in mine.....
The old Winchester Super X in the silver box that came 500 rounds to a brick (10 50 round boxes) back when you could get it for $20 or so per brick at Walmart worked really well, too.

I owned one years ago. Before they made em restricted I used to plink gophers with it all the time.I think I still have the original manual for it,even though I sold it years ago.

Man, it blows people away that the little plinker is restricted. I guess the "AK" version is prohibited tho…….government always knows best!

Check out the Mossberg Blaze 47. That terrifying-looking rifle is probably prohibited in Canada. Can't imagine it shares a single part with an AK...yet law-abiding, licensed gun owners who can buy a 50BMG in Canada can't be trusted with a 22LR rifle that only LOOKS like an AK-47. What a joke.

Government from what i have seen has had their cheese slip off their cracker....walk into any modern gun shop and see 22LRs ten times more military then this Jager ....

I agree.

However just wait if the Libs get re-elected and we may very well see a new slate of bannings of such 22lr type rifles.

The Libs and antis have to keep up with the new designs when they start banning by make and model specifically.

what a travesty! now is a paper puncher...sad! at one time it would take any 22lr from a CCI Stinger to cheap straight Federals and dispatch gophers one after the other.
Now when a new rifle is bought off the shelf be lucky to hit the broad side of a barn with some kind of issue.

Very accurate and fun to shoot. Next to impossible to find parts. And Restricted. Makes no sense to me either but they do look good!

i had the one on the right....but not carbonized and scoped...all natural wood and they can shoot any 22lr produced...at least the one i had did. And the gopher population was smaller for it

Yeah great plinkers. I bet the gopher population took a dive!! Once you’ve got an AR these are as close as you’ll get to similar sights. Quick acquisition and fast second shots. Poor little furry things. The gophers must have had a hot line to the government

Yeah probably....back to using a 10-22 (may as well us a golf club, very particular what is uses for 22lr ammo) and a cooey 600, and a cooey 38, 40 cal heavy barrel Kentucky musket (with mini-balls what a blast but slow) was Using a 58 cal Enfield with mini-ball (gone to a different home now)...have found nothing yet that will fill the gap where the Jager was, i am sure there is something out there
