i was told that when u buy a m4 or ar varient in quebec there could be a waiting period of 2 to 4 months but i called the cfo and was told it could take up to 2 weeks for restricrted so wahts the deal?

Charest implemented the ''anastasia law'' about a year ago..... Basically for a restricted long gun like an AR15, expect to wait for 2 - 5 months for the transfer........

Why ????

BECAUSE !

yup , waited 4 months for my 1st AR .... if u ask me i ll tell u it s G** but i guess it s better then having them banned .

ok thanks guys i guess ,i just got to forget aboiut it for the next coupple of months....................whitch sucks. vive la quebec.

You can still buy one. The gun will be put aside in your name until it is approved and cleared to be delivered. You just have to wait but you don't have to worry about one being in stock if you start the process now.

One of my friend has been waiting for 3 months now. He called the Quebec CFO and they do not know when it will be processed !!! He already has restricted handgun so what is the deal ?? Another stupid law...

The CFO office has to build a "profile" on you... how exactly they go about this is anybody's guess... because the procedure (or criteria) have not been made public.

If you got time to loose... you might write to the federal government asking them how come Quebec firearm owners are not been treated the same as other qualified/certified firearm owners...

what kind of profile will they be able to build other than were u work and live ,ya thats the quebec mentality wast of money waste of our time what else is new.

The ''profile check'' is good for a year. If you buy an AR15, you'll have the BS couple of months wait and next ones you'll buy within the year will be normal transfer time. Not that you'll have much time left to buy some others...
