It won't be an issue. Beaver tail is long enough to protect the hand. It fits well in the hand and the slide is still above the grip.

Rear sight is a shame because they could have just made it take a normal rear sight, options for sights is going to be extremely limited. As well making your sight part of the functional parts needed for the gun to work is in my opinion a dumb idea. Sights get caught on things, break, or.whatnot, with this if you break the rear sight you run the risk of having a gun that won't function
Is it just me, or does it look like the grip under the beavertail looks like it would be uncomfortable. The part that sticks out looks like it would dig into the web of your hand.
Exactly. How long until there's heinies or warrens or even trijicons for this thing, and how much will they cost? And how much engineering will be required in order to guarantee equivalent function?
And how much will it affect the gun if you bang the sights hard off something? I've seen sights struck hard enough to lose a corner...
