Arsenal Firearms - Strike ONE

Rear sight is a shame because they could have just made it take a normal rear sight, options for sights is going to be extremely limited. As well making your sight part of the functional parts needed for the gun to work is in my opinion a dumb idea. Sights get caught on things, break, or.whatnot, with this if you break the rear sight you run the risk of having a gun that won't function

Exactly. How long until there's heinies or warrens or even trijicons for this thing, and how much will they cost? And how much engineering will be required in order to guarantee equivalent function?

And how much will it affect the gun if you bang the sights hard off something? I've seen sights struck hard enough to lose a corner...

After the caracal, I'm surprised to see anyone doing this.

Nope, it doesn't feel that way at all, does help add some grip. I put some grip tape on the back SR9 because of it's slickness ... I don't think this will be necessary at all with the strike one.
Is it just me, or does it look like the grip under the beavertail looks like it would be uncomfortable. The part that sticks out looks like it would dig into the web of your hand.

This is pretty much the thing that gave me a small wtf, but I do find it interesting. This is the first I've seen the rear sights and plate being one and the same, also the rear sights are angled, so no slide manipulation one handed. The metal on the sights are thin and maybe a little soft ... also I'm not sure how well the colour inserts will hold up. Over all though the gun appears very well built and really tight tolerances.

I think that if they improve the stippling by adding side straps with better texture, rail area and rear sight mount, they have a winner.
I don't care too much about the rear sight though, I don't think it is an issue, but I can see why folks complain about it.
On the other hand, the benefit of being able to switch sights very quickly and having the rear sight will always aligned just by sliding it in, it's a plus. Installation should be a breeze if removing that rear cap is anything like a Glock.

I really like the design. It just need to be a bit less Russian in the cosmetic department, it is otherwise a very good idea.

Glad to hear you finally got it, does this mean that they are readily available in Canada or will there be a lengthy wait to get one?

I will be curious to see how the locking blocks hold up. This one looks more solid than the Beretta, but also has more surface area.

So got to the range today, only 100 rounds to put down range though. The pistol is very accurate. I found the trigger reset to be longer than what I am accustomed to with my glock 22 and a couple of times out of habit I didn't allow the trigger out far enough to reset. Not the guns fault, just not used to the different trigger feel. Overall I'm happy with how the gun preformed. Fast shooting and good groups.

I also got to to shoot mine this weekend, but only had few hours so also about 100 rounds.
It worked flawlessly, very accurate and easy to shoot, very natural grip angle too. I had my other two pistols to compare ( Hk P7m8 and p30L LEM v1). Out of 3 pistols p30 and Strike one were the most accurate and about the same groups, and that's considering that i am use to P30 and tried the strike one for the first time.. So I think S1 will get better results once it passes it's brake in period, and I get to know it better. As for recoil and muzzle flip, S1 has the least recoil, and jumps about the same as P7, wich is not much, compare to p30. I also noticed that I could shoot S1 a bit faster than p30.

I took a couple of short videos, I'll try to upload them later on tonight. And I'm really looking forward to more range time with this bad boy.

Videos are short and not very helpful, but still better than no videos. :)

Next time i'll be at the range i'll take better, longer videos. Friend of mine will bring glocks 17,19 so we could film side by side comparison video.

I went to the ranch today , 2' at 25 yards with LCW 9mm Luger - 124 gr - best group . I'm very pleased with this gun . My family likes it too so I ordered one more .
I'm not going to describe the gun - it is done already by Dmitry and there is more good posts on enet . I just want to say that among all "composite" guns this one is the best IMHO .I shot all of them ( available in Canada) except Steyer . I think this gun has a big future .Anyway - I would rate it 9 out of 10 .
Happy and safe shooting gentlemen!
