Arsenal Strike One Speed pistol

Just trying to get some opinions and thoughts on the Arsenal Firearms Strike One Speed pistol ?
Haven't shot one but I'm also interested. Fwiw from what I've read, a lot of user quite like them (good quality and handling characteristics) and like the removeable rear sight on the speed versions compared to the original. I'm curious to see other impressions as well. They are not cheap though.

Kind of wish I grabbed a regular version when CSC was selling them for 600 and 700.

I've shot the first Gen ones when they first got here. Not the Speed.
Super low bore axis, light and quite attractive polymer gun. Has nice colour combos. Points instinctively. Interesting trigger feel. Better than a Glock but "different". Accurate enough but, surprisingly, even with the low bore axis, it still has more recoil than expected esp for a 9mm.
The big downside is the 2 guns I tried were both jam-O-matics. Neither gun could complete one stage of a match without FTEs or FTFs. Both guys eventually gave up on the guns. One went to a Glock, the other to a Springfield XDM.

Yeah the regular strike one I used to have had lots of issues. The famous mag drop issue where the slightest whisper would cause the mag to drop (let alone actually firing a shot). Also many jams, fail to feeds. Yes a nice idea, but those Russians really dropped the ball on quality control. I would never look at them again.

Not entirely true, the gun is sensitive to a bad quality reloads. Shots flawlessly with factory ammo and quality reloads.

Yes, the mag retention spring on some early pistols had issues. But that is covered by warranty.

Also many jams, fail to feeds.
You used to have the gun with problems then sold her and magically a new owner has no issues.

LOL, Russians are guilty in the USA election results and Italian pistols quality

Teapot, if you were an impartial observer, I may ask you to explain the "BS" comment. However, you sell these guns so I can see why you would be defending the Arsenal.
I have no cat in the fight. My observations are only my observations. I've only ever seen 2 Strike Ones. Both belong to good experienced shooters. Both had many witnessed issues. If you bothered to read my review, I said many nice things about the gun also. It was not a planned deliberate hatchet job. But if the only 2 Strike Ones I see jam and fail in multiple sessions, what do you think my impression of the gun would be? The ones I saw actually didn't have the mag issues. Feel better?
So unless you were there, I would say BS to your BS.
I certainly hope the Speed is a better gun.

Nothing like having someone with "vested" interests defend something that certainly has many issues. I actually loved the pistol. But I couldn't justify keeping it with that much wrong with it mechanically. And I believe the new owner has the same issues. They didn't just magically disappear.

Again, great pistol. If the manufacturer (be them Russian or Italian) would only pay more attention to quality control before letting all of those lemons hit the market.

Complains about original Strike Ones can easily be found on the net, so BS comment was uncalled for.
Pistol was developed by Russian-Italian company and available in Russia as "Strizh" and worldwide as "Strike One".

Guys, please don't get offended. I haven't have my morning coffee yet :) Yes, the first run was not entirely perfect. However, these pistols with jam claims that were sent to us function flawlessly with all factory ammunition. They have had issues with crappy reloads e.g. bulged casings, incorrect bullet depth, low powder, etc. I had two random pistols at Rampart range day in May 2015 no single malfunction. I had two other pistols at CAFSAC in September 2015. 1200 NATO rounds through each in less than an hour no single malfunction. I have videos of Brits, Americans, and of course Canadians shooting our so called "first generation" pistols at that event. No, pistol is not available in Russia as "Strizh". It was planned, it didn't happen. All production is in Gardone val Trompia, Italy.

I know there have been issues with the first versions of the Strike One, but like I said in the original post, I was looking at opinions on the Strike One Speed. I heard that these issues had been resolved? I just have a hankering for another striker fired pistol as right now I am Glocked out and wanted to try something different. I have tried the M&P's and the Walther and HK just don't do it for me.

Love my strike one. Maybe 2 fte in 1000 rounds. After cleaning it's perfect. Super accurate. I want a speed too since there isn't much upgrades you can do to the original

I really like my first generation Strike One pistol. I have not yet completed the break in period (500 rounds) but have experienced no problems so far. It seems to be a very well designed and quality built pistol. The low bore axis makes it a pleasure to shoot!

Cheers!

With so many great polymer pistols out there that are cheaper, why bother?
