ASC LAR 10/30 round pistol mags

Got my mag today, haven't taken any pics yet. Here are my first impressions.

First off, the transaction went very well, as expected. Response to any question I had were quick, even on a Sunday.

Now for the mag. It's well built, solid and deep spot welds on the spine. Next to no flex when you pinch the mag body at the feed lips. Floor plate is removable. It uses a standard 30rd spring. Follower is anti tilt and marked 5.56. Drops free when released.

Now for the things I don't like. You can't remove the follower, which I was aware of before purchase. The 4 dents in the mag body that limit it to 10 rounds prevents you from being able to remove it, so if you damage the follower the mag is ####ed. It is limited to exactly 10 rounds, you cannot (and I tried very hard) insert a loaded mag on a closed bolt, it just ain't happening.

Overall it's not a bad mag, but seeing as PPP charges $10 shipping per mag, regardless of how many you order, I don't think I'll be ordering more, at least not until an appropriate shipping charge is put into place.

it should be $10-12 shipping total (1-4 mags) like other retailers. once that gets sorted out ill order a few. thanx for the update!

Please stop posting about these mags, its just going to be a major sh++t show for the importer , any anyone that has ordered them.
Also you know you can't just engrave LAR 15 on a mag, like bauwolf, its a trade mark and a recent one at that.
So much fail. I can't even beleaive that the Admin at CGN is letting this fly!
 
With everything going on with Beouwulf mags right now and a dealer/manufacture pushing the limits with the PCV mags and now these it's only going to be a matter of time before we lose it all and are stuck with 5 round mags and no way around it.

Then people will have nobody to blame but themselves for causing us to fall backwards.

You really think the Conservatives are going to pass a law or OIC to change the regulations on magazines? Cause that's what it would take. Even the RCMP has stated that the "loophole" was intentional.

You talk as if the conservatives are gonna be around forever. Slap the wrong people in the face with this and they will remember it in the long run.

Go see what happened with NR Magazines Beowulf magazine in their section of the forum.

Once the Cons are out of power mag caps will be the least of our worries.

Wasn't it the Conservative (Back then called the Progressive Conservative) that decided to introduced the mag capacity?
