Asked to provide pictures of lower to RCMP before they will complete transfer?

So I started a transfer of an ar-15 a couple weeks ago and just received an email asking for me to provide detailed pictures of the lower receiver before they will complete the transfer?

They say it's a new procedure due to concerns about "the ease of converting certain ar-15's to fully automatic"

Private sale?

I just bought an AR from Canada Ammo (Bushmaster QRC) and there were no issues with the transfer as far as I'm aware.

And tell them to look up the FRT# - it'll show up as restricted. (as others have mentioned)

You might want to talk to your local MP - if it's not a Lieberal or a Dippshyt.

I give it 2 more years before they "easily" convert a lever action to cycle on full auto (without one shred of proof mind you).

1- Go to interwebz
2- Save pictures of compliant lower
3- Send to RCMP with pile of sh1t emoji in email.

1. correct. make sure you have all the right and current info.
2. correct. save and send all pictures you can.
3. incorrect. Do not send the RCMP a pile of "sh1t emoli" this will not help you in any way.
Really OldFrankHog? dont give this type of advice out.

Weird - I transferred two AR15 this month (one is an actual vintage Colt SP1 so obviously conforms to that standard) but no request for any of this.

It was of course a joke, pointing out that asking for someone to prove something with a picture is retarded.

Just transferred my upper to my thinner lower as a precaution. She pulled both lowers up in the FRT table and there was no issue.

Maybe Dlask lowers are in the clear for now.....

Wow! It begins.

Looks like low-shelf lowers are "quietly" going prohib'd. They're going to snag them on transfers.

Your choices are what, do it and have your gun to shoot or don't and have nothing. Not much of a choice

Don't kid: that is why the lever action shotguns corwin arms sells are not allowed in Australia. The exact phrase was "rapid firing death machines".
"THEY" think rate of fire is too high = prohib.

JB Weld + model paint = all receivers comply.

Chisel = back to our regularly scheduled programming. Since the lower is not illegal, or prohibited by law, doing this will not change its status in any way, and breaks no law. If they want to go and play off the reservation (AKA outside the LAW), they have to expect to get screwed with.
