I had (briefly) an Athlon Talos BTR 4-14 and honestly, you get what you pay for. It's ok for a $400 scope but after a brief tenure on a .308 (where I realized the windage didn't track so good) it went on a .22 until I sold it. The elevation tracked fine and the reticle was nice but the turrets felt like ####, no zero stop, 5 mils per turn. Again, it was a $400 scope so you can't expect too much. It was definitely the first and last cheap scope I bought. The higher end Athlons I've heard are nice, as well they should be seeing as how most Japanese manufactured scopes in that price range are made (well) in the same place.
