ATRS is pure quality luxury like a Benz AMG S500 or whatever... I’ve never held a rifle at its quality and I have owned ACR’s XCR and TAVORS and etc... I’ll be purchasing everything on the menu from them from now on! LET’s support CANADA AND CANADIAN MADE FINE FIREARMS!!

I have been saying this for years. These guys are the absolute best at what they do. And I agree supporting Canadian made is worth it.

Wait fir it.................Somebody should be along shortly to complain about their prices, or something else. This is CGN after all

As for me - I agree completely. I have dealt with them on line, over the phone, and in person, and they have always been great.

Another important way to show them your support is donating to the cause:

I'm sure they have a great product, that being said it's no unreasonable to highlight the significant waiting times.

I have been looking at their website for a bit. I am new to the black/tactical/sporter rifle idea.
I have NO IDEA where to start or what to build. But i think I'll be buying one. Considering other sport rifles I've looked at that has amazing reviews and quality are roughly the same price or close...I think I'll support Canadian made...

Thank you for the thread. Nice to know other's have purchased and love it.

How many rounds have you guys put through your rifles?

Excuse the dumb question here, but I thought the modern sporter was on the prohib list? Is it still available for purchase?

*ah still available, just really hard to get.

If utter quality is what u want and you are willing to pay the premium for it then sure. But for every Mercedes there is 6 Corvettes on the street that sell for less and still perform on par if not better. The BCL coyote and Stag models are the Corvettes in this case :p

I think you misspelled Chevette

They're still making them as the FRT is an opinion not a legal statement

Which is surprising in itself that the rcmp do not have a duty to act on their firearm labs opinion.

What is going to be their reason in court for continuing to allow production and sale by a Canadian company of what they have determined is a prohibited firearm? Their inaction greatly reduces their labs credibility to decide firearms legalities before the courts if the queens horsemen will not act on their own labs findings.

I agree the whole situation is awkward. Unfortunately if the RCMP do decide to sting somebody it will probably be some poor uninformed chap that was shooting clays on crown land with his Derya Mk12. Rather then a million+ dollar fabrication company.

You say that like their uselessness is a bad thing ;)

Except that the labs original finding was that the Modern Sporter was Non-Restricted based on Canadian law; and then post OIC, a few RCMP bureaucrats started messing with the FRT's whenever the mood struck them.

I'll keep my rant about the Liberal government's skullduggery to myself, as I don't want to take away from the original posters compliment of ATRS (which is well deserved).

They are already going to be in court with atrs sooner than later on the matter.

In the past when the rcmp has suspected a firearms business of something, they were raided, licensed revoked and basically buried in paperwork and trial delays until the owner ran out of money and will to fight.

Kind of like how the government is saying 8 years to find the documents they relied on to draft the oic for trial. That kind of delay has huge cost implications for those seeking judgement.

This is an unusual tactic is all I am saying.
