ATT for what?

It is Ontario CFO imposed policy from what I gather.

Every range in Southern Ontario has the same policy as far as probationary shoots go, and they actually have separate courses fro restricted ATT's over and above the Federal course.

Also in Ontario individuals cannot apply for their own LTATT, and are completely dependent on the club to apply and renew for you!

Like I said, f**king BS CFO policy!

There are no probationary shoots at either Crumlin or EESA. This is the clubs own executive doing this crap. You pass your ATT course, you get your ATT, you SHOOT.

The observation shooting can only do on Sat and Sun as the club policy, and one time only per week. So even we get lucky to meet someone to borrow a pistol, at least we have do it in 6 weeks. But I already missed 2 weekend, so there's 2 months.

Glad your a member, mmaybe one time Ill see you out there and let u shoot one of my pistols and give you an observation.

I see your point about having a pistol there to lend out, but how would this work when Julie (woman at the top) is only there on wed, sat and sun?? If no one is there then how will you get the gun to shoot it??
These days might be good for some people, but others not so much.

At our club you must take a range safety class and then must prove yourself on the range that you can at least hit the target and be safe. This happens in a 1 day or 2 evening event. The firearms are supplied all you need to do is bring the ammo.

What????? How can you only do it on sat or sun???

I have seen lots of people with in the last 2 weeks there on mondays and tuesdays doing their observations. When I say lots at least a dozen people within the last couple weeks. Infact I was there yesterday and saw 2 people do their 3rd and 5th observations. How do I know this??? I asked them how many the had left, and this was ona monday

I don't know about them, but the officer clearly said that we must do that on Sat and Sun when there's range officer avaiable.

There are two clubs close to me and one of them has this "probationary shooting sessions" rule. Guess which one I joined?
This rule is strictly a club thing but they at least provide a "club" pistol for use and all you have to do is supply your own ammo. You can only shoot on the weekend so if you are a shift worker and don't have every weekend off you are out of luck.

????? weird cuz anyone who has an ATT to the club can do observations.
You might wanna call Julie tomorrow when she is there and clarify that cuz I think you were feed some BS

I can't believe anyone would buy into any of this - someone is a dumbass, boot him and make sure there are no other clubs they can join (it's just a phone call). We have 2400+ members at VFG and it's very rare there's an issue.
