Yea, a Tula would have the star & arrow on the barrel instead. But on the other hand, for earlier years, Tulas are apparently more common than Izhevsks. Tulas were only less common for years when production at the Tula factory was suspended (between 1941 and 1944 I believe).
Nice rifle, not the nit pick but its an Izhevsk rifle!
