I’m just going to install a high lifter 2 “ bracket lift kit and either 28 “ ITP mud lite. 11’s. or 28 “ swamp lite tires on my Pol 570 SP . Iwill try it out first and see how the clutch works before I tear into it for mods .
Any one on here done this to there POL 570 ? RJ

If you are on Facebook look up Polaris Sportmans 450 570 group tons of good info there.

I was tempted to install a lift kit on mine as well but don't want to spend extra money to upgrade the tires yet (current tires has tons of thread will wait until when they are due for replacement).

However was told the cv axle are prone to break after a lift kit but there are more robust axle out there for replacement if those happens to fail.

Probably an unpopular opinion.

My 1st new quad was an Arctic Cat 400. 4x4, bare bones, not even EPS.

Single cylinder, carbed. Easy to work on, and super simple. Had zero issues for years, using it year round. Rolled it completely, and flipped it back up and kept riding.

I think new, it was out the door for just under $5k in 2015.

Yes Sir I do go there to it BUT lots of idiots on it ! I lifted my Sons Pol 800 with new springs and installed 27 " Kenda Bear claws on it and we also installed the 30 % tuffer axles after he wrecked a couple of stock ones !All Good Now ! RJ

Beautiful, good to know the upgrade axle solved the problem.

What's s your thoughts after the lift kit?

Any impact on the handling characteristics of the quad?

I know it may be slightly tippier due to higher center of gravity but added ground clearance is a big plus.

when I bought my 2012 grizzly 550 eps it had a little plow, 1500lbs no name winch, normal nobby dirt tires and fancy aluminum rims.
I wanted something different..... they took the stuff I didn't want off and they creditted those parts into the upgrade costs.
So I wanted ride height for as much clearance under the bike as possible while not having to customize any mounts or driveline angles.
So they put on steel rims, one size over stock size Mud Lite II's which in themselves add a couple inches of ride height. Then they added an inch of ride height on top of that with spacers on the shock and coil mounts. So I think I ride about 3 1/4 inches over stock height at the skid plate. I do have to pay attention sometimes as the ride height does affect stability in some situations.
What I was told by the checkpoint yamaha technicians was one size over or under on the tire size to avoid damaging the "differential/CV units". I imagine in that regard most machines would have the same precautions ??

The bigger the tire the heavier it is, that extra weight and rolling mass will def wear out parts quicker. Going from 25" to 26" might not effect anything noticeably but going 25" to 27" or 28" for sure will have an impact on your parts wear and even handling and speedo. Also the higher your machine the higher the centre of gravity and your machine might be more tippy.

What settings are your shocks set at? This will make a big difference in how it handles, especially if you are riding 2 up on a 1 person machine. We ride 2 up on a coworker’s 2018 450 Kodiak and you have to adjust your riding style, you can’t gun it with the extra weight over the rear going up hills or in general. They’re not built for it, when you look at dedicated 2 up machines they are built different. Bigger heavier frames etc to deal with the extra load and weight balance.

I understand, I have tightened up the rear end. My original point was that my 2020 Grizzly is not as stable as my 06 Cat. The Grizzly is a great machine but in general not as stable as my last quad by a decent margin, that's all. I'm sure I'll get lots of years of hard use out of it.

Two guys I know are in the atv business. Neither sell Suzuki. When I asked both, they agreed the king quad 500 is the most reliable machine they’ve ever seen. On the same level as older Japanese bikes but with modern improvements.

My buddy has sold almost every brand of ATVs for years and worked on them in his spare time. He says that the personal recommendation of himself and his coworkers is Suzuki.

Suzuki has no problem with supply, you can get one right away. Pricing is generally good. Parts might be a bit pricey but the KQ500 in particular has an excellent reputation. I've seen too many guys with ES Hondas that broke down to ever trust anything but the most plain Jane bike from Big Red.

Agree on the ethanol free gas, ethanol is hell. The other thing you can do is run your carb dry if it’s a carbureted machine, I do this with all my small gas powered equipment. Genny, fire pump etc etc, shut the petcock off and let it run dry. I never have a problem starting them up when I need them.

Yep, both these help a lot!

Is it? That’s a piss off. I thought purple premium was ethanol free.

It probably was until the last trudeau ruling that all gas in Canada has to contain ethanol. Like the small amount of ethanol free fuel was really an issue, but I'm sure the corn farmers paid him well and the small engine mechanics will be even busier than they have been.
