ive got a 2013 polaris sportsman 550, hauls my big ass around with zero problems ive had it up to 90 before, not a fan with power steering at that speed. lol but its got all the power i need and sips fuel if i feel like putting about all day on it , its used mainly for hunting, but do take it out from time to time to play

The effect of power steering is dependent on speed meaning going slow the power steering does more work and at high speed the power steering has little to no input. Power steering is such a game changer for reducing rider fatigue that it’s crazy to not get PS on an ATV. Much safer ride too as it reduces and often eliminates kickback when a front tire catches a log, stump, rock, etc.
That’s for sure. Awhile back I had reduced hand, wrist and arms muscles due to Lyme disease and power steering was a huge benefit as it really helped reduce kickback.

IME when I get an offer for more than I'm asking on kijiji, there is always a catch, like arranging shipping for the Nigerian, some weird form of payment, something about their agent and whatnot.
Reasons for never wanting to go back to a quad?
Definitely not the price difference. ($35000 vs $15000)

A few years ago they were banned from the local roads here but that’s been lifted and they’re ok now. Not on the major roads though.

I had a little Sportsman 400 Polaris that worked just fine toting my big @ss around the tundra...even up some sandy hills that I thought would be too much for it. Can't remember what year it was though but I bought it in 2011 or early 2012 from a guy I worked with. He used it hunting on the Canol Road for several years.
Currently have a 99 or 2000 Grizzly 600. It works quite well though it is really cold blooded when you start it up. And it's not the fastest thing in the world, but it's fast enough for what I do. Solid rear axle makes it plenty tough for hauling loads in and out of the bush. I really should spend time putting more miles on it.
