I agree. Seen them decimate the Vedder in a weekend.

Cant say nothing with out being a raciest

My sister lives in Vancouver she has white people crawling in and out of the dumpsters all day and all night based on this logic all white people must be dumpster divers

take away government hand outs and see who's diving in the dumpsters

I see 2 big problems in area 5 right now ....... too many people( not just one group of people with one skin colour doing this ) having uncontrolled harvesting of moose . and too many dammed wolves .

the easiest way I can see to fix this is to ban all moose hunting for everyone , regardless of how many roads get blockaded , for up to 5 years possibly .

then afterwards , if you want to hunt moose you must prove that you actively hunted and harvested a set number of wolves each year .

this would also make a ton of farmers almost giddy in anticipation of not have as many of their animals disappear to feed hungry wolves .

Everything is a factor,period.
-CN kills about a thousand animals a year between PR & PG; its a factor.
-Human population has increased and it has increased in the north (wait till LNG really starts rolling); it is a factor.
-Modern hunting equipment has allowed more people to go deeper in the bush easier; it is a factor.
-Extended openings for cross bows and bows; it is a factor.
-Hunters who no longer have openings in their traditional (closer) M-U's now travel to the fewer that do which increases pressure; it is a factor.
-Lack of enforcement; it is a factor.
-Lack of continuing study; it is a factor.
-Changing Eco-system; it is a factor.
-Lack of predator control; it is a factor.
-Native hunting: it is a factor.
-Non native hunting: it is a factor.

No one factor is completely responsible for declining numbers but fixing one or two will do nothing if several others are not controlled effectively however I'm sure democracy will chose the wrong path...

If you started paying your rent it would make things a hell of a lot easier
Who do you think owns The land you occupy The resources that you extract it is not the crown, Federal government, or the province
Carful of what you wish for one day we will fully exercise our legal rights

See, I hope no one thinks I'm racist, but what you replied to is exactly the attitude of entitlement that, shall we say, is the problem with Canada. My problem is not with the natives, but the fact that we have a system that encourages natives to believe they are more entitled to this land than I am. Guess what, I was born here too. I'm a Canadian native thank you very much. We all have to live here on this land together, so why exactly should you get special privileges?

my feelings exactly ........ if your born here that makes you "native" to this country ....... when will we all be treated equally ?

I suppose you figure that those four native guys have hunting out all the moose in bc

All no. A lot, yes. At one point three in front of each house. But no matter. This band WAS the reason that our group of California Big Horns went extinct in this area though due to hunting.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm far from being a racist and I don't blame the Natives for the decline of the moose. I do believe they should follow the same hunting rules as the rest of us though.

I had a really funny conversation once with one of these Native fellows. They said hunting moose was their heritage. I informed him the moose have only been in this area for the past 150 years or so and my family has been hunting them the same length of time as his family so it should be my heritage too. Didn't go over well :p

I'm a proud Haida man it was solely me I traveled all across BC and kill all your ####ing moose for fun lol
Then turn around and sold you a illegal salmon
I guess im your boogiemen
Obviously you need a scapegoat it mite as we'll be me I'm evil
