B&t apc 223 pic thread-range report page 4

WTF are you talking about with build quality same as XCR!?!?
I guess yours was the best xcr ever made then

I am not trying to put down APC. It just feels the same as my XCR-M, solid tight assembly. XCR is jsut very front heavy. I'll see how accuracy compares to DD v11 pro. I have 55 gr hornady SM, 62gr AE, 62 gr IMI, and 69 gr IMI.

Can you tell me exactly what acog model number that is and what mount with model number that is?

Scope:TA50-c-400232, it's a low height one, 55gr BDC, horseshoe reticle. It's not a high end military scope, I think it was a sporting optic from a get go. Has a bit of a tube effect, I like my TA11-F more.
Mount: ADM - B2

Regarding the stock.
Stock is fine, I expected worse. APC never intended to be a DMR. It's a carbine with 18.6" barrel due to our gunlaws.

Any idea what is the thread pitch on muzzle attachment? I was wondering if I can use the muzzle brake on AR.

it's a 1/9 twist barrel

I realize it is a 9 twist. Hence my trepidation buying one on the first go round.
Based on where industry and 223/5.56 is currently, this thing should have had a stock with an adjustable comb and LOP and a 1/7" twist barrel right out of the gate.
That stock with the height of the pictatiny rail is ridiculous.

Sorry boys for putting out the birthday candles with p!ss - enjoy your new guns.

When I had the xcr-m I had to get the adaptor for a normal butt stock and it improved the rifle a lot for me. When I look at this rifle I get that same sense as the fast stock in terms of height and feel. Hopefully they come out with an adaptor.

It is a sweet rifle tho. If it already had a prs or something like that I would likely be buying one tonight lol.

grabbed mine today...stuck the venom on it, as its the absolute lowest optic i had kicking around. Actually has a good cheek weld. As bfiles said, the buis flipped up are even too high. Going to hold off for stock options.

But, it feels awesome, well balanced, extremely good fit and finish, and easy takedown. Not getting rid of this anytime soon.

Weight is with the venom/buis/empty 30/5 mag.

The APC stock doesn't feel cheap to me, Locks up tight and there is no play. Will tinker with it this weekend and see if I can drop a Geissele in it.

Time to go outside and grab some better pictures :)

Im tempted to put mine up. Not to make money or anything, it's just a lot to have invested in a firearm.!

Lol exact opposite for me: I never thought I'd even consider selling my AR or SL8, but just got back from the range with the APC and will prob be hocking both of 'em right away! Was also seriously starting to consider an X95 but don't see the point now.
I didn't do much shooting, 20rd just breaking in the barrel but tomorrow is a whole new day.
This is definitely my favourite gun already!

So much work ahead of me, not all the bits came in this shipment or even new, just the B&T made stuff are new.
I really dislike tinkering with and cleaning guns, I might even use the "hate" word. I just like shooting guns, wish there is a weapons tech who would just hand it to me ready to go.

Oh BTW, if you ever get the stock adaptor, beware there is a tiny little roll pin jut sitting loosely inside the ziploc but outside the bubble wrap, I almost lost it taking the adaptor out of the bag.

Like literally, this is my birthday present to myself

My Swiss needs a low optic and has a 1/10 twist, I guess it's rubbish as well, nevermind it being one of the best rifles ever created...

At the risk of sounding like I'm hacking on it more, which I really am not.
Just to answer your post Mike:
Swiss Arms - 40 year old design, invented with iron sights, prior to rails and LOP butt stocks being a thing on service rifles.
Can be had in the original 10" twist and a more modernized 7" twist.
With the railed version you can use commonly available low rings with scopes without resorting to cheek risers or changing out the stock; likewise with the diopter model, or you can add a cheek riser quite simply.
Again, some of what came after with the SA was add-ons for modernizing a 40 year old design.
The APC has a set of iron sights that comes with the rifle that really should be used with a cheek riser when they are deployed. LoL:HR:

Sorry your b-day sucked - maybe next year it will be better.

really want one - just fixed.

Oupsss lol... Lots of parts flew out...lol... But I can confirm that a regular AR trigger fits ( had my ####ty old ACR trigger kicking around ) . Will need actual range time to test it. But it passed the function test no problem.

Wonder witch Geissele I should order :)

Not what I wanted to hear, please let me know how the range time goes with the AR trigger.

So... only one guy has actually put rounds downrange with his so far?
I'm looking forward to seeing all the sub moa groups these are supposed to be able to make.

love it, not even chambered a round and already "fixing" it LOL

Yup, well it's not an AR so to make their Swiss made perfection better it should probably get some American parts.
