This is a much better setup. The Cadex Handstop works better than the overpriced QD grip...lol... And ditched the plastic fantastic sights... Range trip this weekend![]()

Un markings would say "CA17"
Is that all it would need to say??

Did you clean and lube the rifle before range day? Just wondering if the wear was there already and you didn't see it. That is a lot of damage for 145 rds fired!
of course. yeah i inspected it when i received it, i didnt see anything like that. i dont think thats something a missing drop of oil will cause. could be that the finish was not properly adhered there and firing broke it loose maybe?
Most people will say " the gun's a tool, don't worry about scratching it!" But I agree with your concern. Something is not right, be it a design flaw, finishing or metallurgy issue. Wonder if other APC owners have the same issue...As Canada tail said, that looks like 1000s of rounds, not 145!

Weird as I never had any light primer strikes and I was using PMC xtac ammo
Try some different ammo

mainly because it only appears to be cosmetic and solely isolated to the bolt carrier. maybe ill pm them linking this thread but unless its going to affect safety or function ill keep testing. the light strikes are more of an issue to me, once i try ammo that i know to be reliable then ill bring the issue to them. like i said this is my first time with this specific ammo and coupled with being a brand new rifle it could have just exacerbated the issue. if it keeps happening then maybe B&T should up the hammer spring weight or lower the firing spring weight... and send me one.The light strikes concern me, please keep us posted on what you find out. Why don't you give Wolverine a call and maybe talk to their gunsmith?
I will go to my back field after work and blast a few boxes just to see.
