Well, after 20 hours of flying we finally made it home from Namibia. All that I can say if that Africa is definitely all it's cracked up to be. What an awesome experience. This was a totally free-range hunt for indigenous animals only in three different areas of the country and I was shocked at how challenging these animals were to hunt. Heavy rains made the hunting harder than normal due to very tall grass and the fact that water was everywhere and animals where not concentrated but were widely scattered. We were unable to even locate a few of the species on our wish list but it just makes for a good excuse to go back.

Good stuff Mr. Sheephunter, good stuff. Was your wife using the .30-06? Or was it not adequate enough :nest:.

Edit: Question has been answered already :p.

Very nice hunt. Did you get a chance to taste the game meat?

Yes, other than a couple meals of lamb, we ate wild game exclusively. Surprisingly, the zebra was both of our favourite.

Still not sure about the raw kudu liver though.

We also took quite a bit of meat to a local school in addition to 150 pounds of school supplies that we took over for the kids. Meeting all the kids was pretty cool.

I really like how african safari outfitters nicely pose the animal for a photo. Kinda wish more Canadian hunters would do that. It really showcases the beauty of the animal better.

Looks like a great trip; nice kudu!

Great pics, Thanks for sharing! And no elephant!!!

I guess the recession must be coming to an end ... I hope.

Why did you shoot that poor dog?

Why did you shoot that poor dog?

It's a jackal. They are very similar to our North American coyotes. We actually shot several of them as populations are extremely high and several had mange. This one had a great coat however and I'm getting the hide tanned. Area farmers and ranchers are not overly fond of them and appreciate hunters shooting some.

Looks like you both had an excellent time! Great selection of trophys . Nice that you donated some meat to the local people. The rifles that you took obviously worked fine. Thanks for sharing the pics.

I vote this as the most realistic girls with guns picture of the year! Much more attractive than some skinny model chick in a bikini posing with a Desert Eagle.

Very nice to see your photos and to learn you had an enjoyable trip. But why did you have to shoot the farmer's dog?:)

Congrats to you both. By the pics you'd never know it had rained in weeks!
And you guys thought you had taxidermy bills from Jim back in October..... hahaha how about now! Better buy a bigger house, you need more wall space.
