Backpackers now in stock

My backpacker does not lock up tight. There is a slight wobble when closed.
Is anyone having the same problem, and if so is there a cure

Thanks

I wouldn't worry too much about a "slight" wobble. If it gets looser you could find some thin brass shim stock and try to shim the main pivot lug.

Mine locked up tight....the problem was getting it open again. Mine was sent back for that reason and for a crack in the stock.

It say "Help, being held captive in Chinese gun factory" or "with 6 you get eggroll"

Lots of great info in here!

Debating on whether to order a Backpacker or Outlaw along with my 8.5" Grizzly Mag...

Have a backpacker and an outlaw, their both sweet little guns, patiently waiting the arrival of the grizzly 8.5" mags lol. The backpacker foregrip linkage did get shimmed up to keep it from falling off however...

Got my backpacker the other day. WHEW. It did take awhile. Payment was made and accepted May 27th, but Hey, this was an impulse buy anyway. I did what the thread stated "don't bug them, and it will come". Worked for me. Going through all the posts, mine is fully checkered, locks up and opens just fine, no misaligned parts, no cracks in the wood, no wobble. Got a ton of oil though and did a thorough cleaning. Thanks Canada Ammo, and what the HECK are you going to MAKE me buy next?

Got my 13" last week , cleaned it out real good & took it out for test run. I had numerous misfires its as if the firing pin is not striking hard enough . The reason I am msging you is that I am unable to contact CanAm by telephone because u guys don't answer your phones. Was wondering do/can I exchange it ?or will you repair it ? I guess what I'm saying is I really like how it feels & operates (when it does fire.)what are my options here ?

Bring it to the range, put a 2-3/4 slug through it and see if it is holding together fine. If not, fix it and bring it back again then keep fire until it sure work. I love mine even with all the hassle. You got what you pay for, simple like that.

I got my four two with checker two with out. One has a slight bit of rust or something that's 25 percent the size of a dime. Ill probably just give a deal to my sister once her pal arrives(she got approved yea!). So far they all seem to lock up tight. I degreased one and took it out last night. We were shooting clay pigeons the sights seem to be somewhat on target. I tried my nine mm adapter and it shoots that quite nice. I also have a 22 lr 3 inch adapter it functions good but the accuracy is lacking. After shooting some 23/4 shotgun target loads (They kick like a mule) the fore stock has loosened up a little. Once she heats up a little shotgun shells bind up and make it harder to open. As long as you deliberately crack the barrel open and not baby it they come out fine. Overall I'd do it again fit is good 7 finish is not bad just the trigger group is all rough 6 function is 8 not a misfire or ftf at all. I'm surprised that with such a short barrel that it would shoot clay pigeons at a launching distance. You get what ya pay for ultimately this fits my niche because the barrels so short it's just fun for me. I thought about the double barrel but for as much as I use it this will be great. Ill probably keep two and modify them down the road.

Anybody know what the thread pitch is on the front bead ? My bead was ejected on the first shot :(. The threads are still there from what I can see.
