I've used a number of these myself and really like them for camping. They do taste pretty good.

I got them in mainly so I could have a steady supply for myself for camping this year LOL

Ditto as above.

They aren't half bad. Way better than MREs or IMPs for long term storage.

I've used them for backwoods camping as well and taste much better than the (ahem) other big named, easily found, dehydrated food stuff company found in outdoors stores.

Regular item then? Their website shows some of it is dairy free so I'm interested but will have to wait until I have some spare coin.

I used these rations quite often as they are light weight and very neat to pack. It doesn't produce "messy garbage". Just roll up the package and seal it in a ziplock pack. Very little mess.

They actually taste very good, but they are not very "meat heavy" even if it is a meat dish. While the package said "2 portions", it is really for one person after a day of work. I also find that they like a bit more water than indicated.

You don't want to know!! :)

30-40% percent per serving depending on the meal.

Body will need salt, especially in long hikes.

That is why I like these rations, I usually make them slightly more soupy than it should to increase my water intake.

Yes sir, you need sodium to facillitate ATP uptake and keep the NA+/K+ pump working. Extra soupy is the way to go!!

Oh I understand the pathophysiology of metabolism, electrolyte balance, Na+/K+-ATPase, etc. I just prefer moderation. lol. :)

Should stay the same barring the distributor doesn't mix things up. Wont be done on our end.

Moderation is the way to go, restrictive diets do nothing. Eating is simple, (energy in < energy out). If you are burning the energy and need the sodium in a light, fast pack meal these are a great option.
