Have any of you guys had bad dealings on milsurp parts on ebay? Is there anything you can do besides negative feedback? I'm out a pretty sizeable chunk of change so a little butt hurt...

How did you pay? If (FRAUD ALERT), open a claim. If the sellers got no evidence he made good, you will usually get your money back.

Also visa can reverse charges for fraud.

Can you elaborate on the situation?

Not much on Eslime is primo nowadays. Most of it is bog standard unless NOS and even then some of the NOS kit is rusted within the package. Just don't expect NOS parts for a 100 year old rifle ... they are not around or trade within a small circle of acquaintances. A lot of "surplus parts" are new made and GUNPARTS is one of the worse for this.
Was there not a picture of the items that could have been used for an informed decision before bidding or was it a bait and switch???
Go after the seller and you might be a partial refund. Many have done this and been happy in the end.

Wheaty it was a bait and switch. It was a coachwood set all matching in the photos. Nose cap, rear sight ears, mid band and swivel, sling, swivels, butt plate, trigger guard, fore end, butt, front and rear handguards. Supposed to have no dents or cracks, the butt was split almost all the way forward through the grain, and coud have been used as a hammer at some point. It magically developed an oil stain coat and lost its rack numbers and grew a butt disk in transit (not even done nicely), as well as changed species fromn Aussie coachwod to Brit walnut, and had the butt socket post chewed on to the point of being useless. The fore end developed the damned crack and lost a chunk out of the rear(that probably happened in transit, not the crack but the chunk). Also the trigger guard and front swivel went missing. Did I mention that it was a buy it now or best offer, that I offered my price plus ACTUAL shipping cost. I paid upfront expecting a rtefund on the difference. When I asked about it he told me to pound sand.

Top it all off he sent it in a rifle box.

CanadianAR I did pay by (FRAUD ALERT). I'll have to look into it, thanks!

Definite cause for neg. feedback, plus get (FRAUD ALERT) up his arse. They act like authoritarian idiots, but this is one time where that works for you instead of against...

Good hunting!

brutal...would it be prudent to expose this jackass on this thread so that other good Gunnutters don't fall into the same trap?

How was their feedback ratings? Lots or None?

Did you receive junk or nothing?

It's pretty vague what happened other than a loss of some kind.

Post the link.

If you paid by (FRAUD ALERT) (which is anti-gun like eBay) you might get your money back.

What country was the seller?

I had already warned him I would on here, gunboards and milsurps if he didn't square up, but I'm having a tough time deciding if that's the wrong thing to do.

Plus post his EBAY name so the rest of us do not get caught in his trap. I have used EBAY ca/com/uk...and do not want to deal with this crap!! thanks!!

Sorry to hear, but (FRAUD ALERT) will take care of you.

EDIT....or at least PM me.

Ope na case via (FRAUD ALERT), select not as described item. Then (FRAUD ALERT) will ask you to ship the items back with a tracking number. As soon as the tracking shows delivered you will be refunded.

If you have questions about (FRAUD ALERT) lmk.

His rating was a 249. What I received was junk and not my parts that were pictured, also did not receive all the parts that were to be included in the deal. He also accepted my offer but did not honor my condition for shipping.

Well, that was enough information to find it: http://www.ebay.com/itm/LEE-ENFIELD...299?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1e73cdfcbb

That was a lot of money to pay for the (by what sounds like a POS) wood set that he sent. You could likely find the whole rifle for that price with just as good a set of wood.

I see he has now re-listed the same item with the same photos, but under a different seller name. He even has 13 offers on it. Lucky bidders have had their offers rejected.

Looks like he uses photos from the cream of the crop and then sends the dregs.

Ok guys thanks a bunch that is exactly what I will do. I will also post all the transaction details and pics here tonight. His user name on there is floridapick, I don't want anyone else to get burnt like this.

Thanks for posting the links Stencollector. I have bought from a few other users on there with great results, one in particular has been beyond excellent.

I'm going to return this junk and buy from that user.

I saw that set and even thought about getting it. Glad I left it alone. I've never been ripped yet on stuff through Ebay. Knock on wood.

I would suggest that one also use caution dealing with joannesbarnsales2012, as they would appear to be one in the same. Same location, same photos, and same description.
