bad deals on milsuerp parts on ebay

Looks like there are two players in that game

eb auction no. from the OP 130791898299 aka floridapick and now another seller with the exact same picts and a different name 121013507989 aka joannesbarnsales2012 (12 feedback).

Beware

A message has been sent to joannesbarnsales asking if the set shown is the same set that will be sent, since another listing by someone else with the same text and photos resulted in a negative feedback. I'll let you know what the answer is (if any).

Thanks a bunch for the help guys. Nice to know CGN really is like one big family!

I knew I was paying too much, but I felt that if the woodset was really nice and the other parts included were worth selling that I could have recovered enough to justify the purchase. I offered him $300 plus actual shipping cost on it, and he accepted. That and I felt the rifle I am restoring is worth it, I plan on keeping it as my shooter No1 so the price would not have bothered me had this been a legitimate purchase.

I have bid on his stuff last month, and he wanted to charge me 60$ to ship a enfield forestock. It was also supposed to have a volley sight, but his AD was editer later and no more included... Keep away from him. I decided not to pay.

Here is her reply to my message:
That is the actual set you will get, the other gent was just upset about the ship rate to Canada, and wanted monies back for that.
Jo Anne

So I guess the next bidder will (might) get the actual stock set (less the sling, as mentioned in the new ad) and you were supposed to be happy with whatever set they pulled off the shelf.

E-bay sucks both ways. As a seller, it's a huge pain in the ***.

I sold some small items on there recently, including a pack of WWII Canadian made Gillette blue blades I thought a collector may find interesting.

I stated in my add shipping would be $3.

The blades sold for $2 plus $3 for shipping.

The buyer is now giving me a hard time because he though for $3 I was shipping express with a tracking number, LOL!! He's now threatening to contact (FRAUD ALERT), because I must be trying to rip him off. Of course he lives in the U.S. and it will take a couple weeks for them to arrive. Either this guy is a total idiot, or he's so cheap he wants his $5 back and a free pack of vintage razorblades.

Honestly, I'm never selling any small stuff on there again. It's just not worth it! And I'm pretty sure half the people on there are just insane, selling fakes, or trying to pull some sort of scam.

If I had received exactly the parts promised I would have just ate the shipping and not been upset. He would have just been 4 stars short on his shipping feedback with 5 for everything else. Instead he nailed me twice. Now he got negative across the board and I'll be going after him for my money back.

Here's the photos of what he listed and what I got, as promised earlier (not to beat a dead dog to death, I'd imagine this is getting a bit old for you guys!)

You guys be the judge. Here is the listing word for word:

LEE ENFIELD STOCK SET No1 MK111 SMLE

A very nice stock set for the Lee Enfield SMLE (NO1 MK111) All is good and not missing any ears. Came from a 1941 Lithgow and
has the copper recoil blocks fitted. Comes with all parts shown in the picture including sling. No big nasty cracks or dents.

Swivels, Nosecap,

Early rear sight protector and trigger guard and front band,
are marked with the Aussie star. A very nice used stock set, with stores number still painted on the butt,
and best of all without the dreaded ishy screw.

Every thing that you see is included, no suprise's

Thanks,

Wayne

What did you tell the seller about receiving the wrong item? By reading your initial description, their feedback, and stencollector's post, it seems that they are only aware of a shipping disagreement.

I sent him a lengthy message detailing the items I was displeased with. I also told him that had the items been in the condition promised and with no parts missing I would have given him 5 stars on all points but shipping and a positive rating. I told him that if he made this right I would not go through with a claim through (FRAUD ALERT) or report this to ebay and that I just want the parts I bought as shown on the site. I also told him that word travels fast and that I'm a regular poster on all the north american Lee-Enfield and milsurp collector sites. I really just want to finish my rifle the way it deserves to be restored, that is all.

Like others have stated thank you for outing this guy. I was very tempted to put in an offer on the very item that you purchased. I'll never consider purchasing from this seller again, sorry you had to be the first penguin off the iceberg in this case!

Well, that was enough information to find it: http://www.ebay.com/itm/LEE-ENFIELD...299?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1e73cdfcbb

That was a lot of money to pay for the (by what sounds like a POS) wood set that he sent. You could likely find the whole rifle for that price with just as good a set of wood.

I see he has now re-listed the same item with the same photos, but under a different seller name. He even has 13 offers on it. Lucky bidders have had their offers rejected.

Looks like he uses photos from the cream of the crop and then sends the dregs.

That is one of the ugliest excuses for a stock set I've ever seen, from the repro butt marking disc, to the Phillips screws(!) to the ground off lip on the butt trap door to the hashed up tongue. Ugh b:

In fairness to the original seller he has good feedback on many stock sales, only two negs, but what excuse can there be for shipping a set like that when the photos show something completely different?

THIS PERSON "Floridap-ck" HAS NO FEEDBACK AS A SELLER, ONLY AS A BUYER! CAVEAT EMPTOR!

Definite cause for neg. feedback, plus get (FRAUD ALERT) up his arse. They act like authoritarian idiots, but this is one time where that works for you instead of against...

Good hunting!
For those of you with (FRAUD ALERT) accounts with a bank account added as well as credit card for funding purposes.Always use your credit card as your funding source if possible. This gives you an extra layer of protection in case (FRAUD ALERT) reneges on their responsibility to you if a deal goes sour.Been there.

Ok guys thanks a bunch that is exactly what I will do. I will also post all the transaction details and pics here tonight. His user name on there is floridapick, I don't want anyone else to get burnt like this.

This is mail fraud and is taken very seriously by the authorities in the US. I'd send him that link and demand an immediate refund for the fraudulent junk he cheated you on. Then follow through on it if he doesn't make good.

What a crook.

Thanks Cantom.

We have another name to track too. Alfredo Pino was the name on the (FRAUD ALERT) account where money was sent.

I messaged him on ebay last night and said he had to make this right immediately or I'd do everything I could to get my money back. I opened a dispute at papyal this morning.

His full name and address off the shipping box...

Last resort I will go the postal fraud route
