just wondering why the thread is now closed???? everyone was waiting for epps reply and all we got was "..." from epps??????

Lol now they will have to close this thread and take it off the main posting on the forum. I want nothing short of the store moving into that new industrial building beside there store and a new website. Or does anyone want part ownership in a new firearms store in a nice new industrial building located beside epps?

Don't get me wrong there are some very good sales people at epps but again I am putting blame on the store it's self. They need to get some stuff that is collecting dust out of there and give the staff some breathing room. I would not be happy at work if I felt like a prisoner in the store tripping over each other. I don't expect them to listen to me since I'm the only one saying a new store but does no one agree with me?

I know it's not my business and I don't have all the answers I am just giving my opinion and a suggestion

Because they don't have enought jam to deal with it the right way so they just hope we will all forget about it and keep ordering crap from them so they can keep right on with there poor customer service.

I hope the OP of the original post can tell us how it all turns out...... and we are able to read it before it gets locked.

Like this thread will. Shame.

if you can see EPPS posted " three dots" ... like he was thinking of something to say but the words just didn't come out! all we want to hear is an explanation for that kind of service, that's just what we all want, and i am sure if its a fair and valid reason then we can all do business with them in the future! well..........................maybe not me but.................................................. :)

So much bad publicity already likely doesnt bode well. Esp not taking internet customers seriously. Without internet commerce it is tough to keep a brick and mortar business going i would say.

I've ordered 4 pistols from Epps now and each time was a smooth and easy transaction. In fact, the beretta i ordered via online on Thursday, transfer was completed by Monday. So i've got nothing but good things to say about them, but i do agree that they need more space in there. When you go on a saturday its a friggin zoo and everybody is fighting to get some counter time with a sales rep.
Curious to see how this turns out

I didn't read the first thread, but have been an Epp's customer for years. I have never received good/fast customer service at the gun counter but I'm not totally convinced it's the fault of the staff at the gun counter. (too cramped a space, while 1/2 the store aisles upstairs are empty) An observation I've made...from numerous experiences waiting "on the ramp"...is that they seem to have more time for tire kickers (who seem to bring 3 friends) than they do for those actually looking to buy. I realize it's part of the way things work, but but at least one or two of the staff down there seem to love the sound of their own voices...and jump at the opportunity to chat-up prospective customers who walk away with nothing...while I'm standing there with cash in my pocket. Hasn't been that way once or twice, but every single time. Price/selection is the best around (and they're about 1.5 hours away!) but if either of those factors change, my dollars will go elsewhere. Customer service is on par with the grocery store I go to. It's a "get your stuff and get out" kind of proposition. Difference is, I don't spend $300-$1000 at the grocery store.

I was open faced lied to by the gun smith and employees. Was told twice that my brand new firearm was fixed. Which it wasn't and nothing was done and had to return it. Waiting six months on a brand new firearm with 1 year warranty. We had to fight just to get the truth and a new firearm which should have been given to me from day one. Not happy about that. At least it's over with.

The service is OK, it's just the "No returns, no exchange, no store warranty" policy that people's been complaining.
As long as the product you buy is in perfect conditions, you will not have any problems.
The problems will start when you buy something and later notice it is defective. Epps will not exchange or refund, even if it is within days of purchase, they will simply ship it to the dealer and you can sit, relax and wait for months to get your pistol/rifle back.

Their website is crap. No pics of any used firearms. I wonder do they realize how many customers pass on firearms because of this?

Agreed!! Cant really online shop there to help decided what I want or check out there used stuff but I can on Al Flaherty's website....and Al's is usually a little cheaper

They have a monopoly of Northern Ontario. They are on the hunting trail up north. They do have good prices tho there's no denying that but that's not what this is about

I'd say most of southern ontario as well. The amount of restricted firearms they carry is unparallelled. They also have the best prices. Their flow of used firearms is also very attractive. I'm from scarborough and I don't know anywhere else to buy restricted. Everywhere else either has crap selection or same gun but $100 more expensive. I've been to epps for a total of 3 times now. First time to sell a gun, second time to buy a gun, third to pick up the gun. It was a pretty good experience. I didn't get any attitude sales rep. In fact, many of the people working there are quite joyful. I've only spoke to a couple of the sales rep at the gun room so I can't say how they're like except the two people that I remember talking to was very helpful and informative.

The place can definitely use an overhaul to get more space but it's like fixing the 404/DVP. There's too much traffic at any given time to shut the place down and fix the place.

Anyways, when stores get big, the sales team start to deteriorate. All the other big stores I visit (bass pro/le baron/sail) have terrible terrible customer service. It seems like they pick and choose who to help. Pretty much I faced the most terrible service so anything from Epps is alright.

Although the original thread, the poster got shafted by the warranty. Epps, if you read this, you can still gain a valuable customer back. Help that gentlemen out!

wow I just read the other thread...... they actually still have customers with policy & attitude like that. I was actually planning on going up this weekend, I'm gonna buy a Beretta A400 xtreme. Thank god I read these posts my money is going elsehwere now. If epps is reading this...you have lost one customer right here. Store employee attitudes & bad policy= not getting my $2000

They have an in store gunsmith so why don't they at least give their used guns a once over before shipping out? Got a sporterized Swedish Mauser M38 in 6.5 x 55mm sent to me where the firing pin would engage when flipping off the safety. Could have had devastating results.

On the other hand there is a couple real solid guys in there as well.
