Bad experience at epps.........to be continued?????

I posted my experience at Epps in the last thread about my trip there on October 25th. I had a couple hundred dollars of product in my hand heading to the cash and put it all back after hearing the cashiers response to a customer question. There are a lot of other vendors in the top banner and the three I've dealt (Wantstalls, Budget & Marstar) will continue to get my business because of how they respond to me as a customer even if I ask a complete newbie question.

Im in retail (three store chain with a large amount of warranty issues due to mfg & shipping damage) and we would have someones head on a spike if they acted the way they did when I was in the store. Most people now shop online before ever driving to a brick & mortar location so to ignore internet comments (google reviews, forums, facebook ) is like playing with a loaded firearm.

I wouldn't doubt it if they just canceled their sponsorship on the forum and just stayed with the the status quo... Get well soon epps you have a great selection(when you can find it) and great prices

Well the squeeky wheel gets the grease. I have to wonder though, what would have happened if Claven2 had not posted that first thread? Would Wes be calling him to sort this situation out?

I hope this thread dose not get locked. I wanted to go and buy lots of stuff up there, but after reading this I wont waste the trip. Everyone has the right to make an informed dissension on where to spend there hard earned money, and I thought i could use this site for both the good AND bad reviews. If this thread gets locked it would really change my opinion of CGN all together to be honest.

Oh well, Only my 2 cents after all.

As an update I spoke to Wes today and he was very helpful. I can return the gun for store credit to exchange the gun for something in stock which is all I was asking for.

He indicated their ability to accept new gun returns (unfired/unused) varies greatly depending on manufacturer/distributor and he had some leeway on the chiappa stuff.

He also indicated they had a high return rate on chiappa products for defects, so i will likely get a winchester as a replacement.

My take is i just spoke to the wrong perspn, but in some cases returns arent possible, so worth checking before ordering if that is a concern.

I hope the owner has some words with this wrong person. I bet this is the same guy that everyone has a problem with

The owner of the store has talked to the client here involved and wasnt able to talk earlier because he was away on a hunt.
On used guns we as a store offer an uncondiontional 30 day waranty because we can control that. As for new firearms we adhere
to the warranty policies of each manufacturer as per the terms of our contract. We are doing our best to make as many clients as possible happy
but we are only human and therefore fail the odd time but do our best to right any wrongs that may occur. Perfection in our service although
ideal might be an unrealistic expectation but we are hiring if any of the perfect CGN folks would like to hop on board we welcome the help. Sincere thanks from the Epps management.

Tough crowd. The OP sounds like he is sadisfied yet someone who is not involved does not think that solution is good enough! No biggie though, most peoples online posts are only worth thair weight in **** anyways. It would be nice to see a year from now, I bet you half of the "I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THEM EVER!!!!!!!" posts will have secretly come out of the closet and bought from them. The other half are probally they type who try to dicker on a dented can of soup at Safeway and Epps is better off without them.

You know, technically I'm not to OP of this thread, mine was the locked one - lol. So far I'm happy with the outcome though - I only ever asked for an exchange.
