Bad News for AR enthusiasts

Just to clarify: I can't order a standard M-15 A2 if Questar, Wolverine etc. if they don't have it in stock because it has a "flash hider" and they can no longer import?

Wolverine never said they can't Import AR's anymore, and they haven't had flash hiders for awhile. They flash hider rule has been around for a few years.

Questar said their licenses were expired (almost), they started the panic buying.

Give Wolverine a call and see what they say. There a couple stores (at the top of the screen) that could have a M15a2 in stock.

That's what i thought.
You heard from a guy that heard from a guy that saw a guy's blah blah.

Seems your comprehension is quite flawed! I said I saw enough of other people's Dlask products. i.e. as in first hand. Hmm your a dealer too, did you take Dlask's customer sevice course as well, you seem to fit their style.

Don't make crap up and make unfounded assumptions.

have u started to sell dlask s**t or something ronin?
Nope,my shooting/Turkey hunting partner has 2 of the dlask 1911's and one of his AR's.
Ive examined and shot them both and they are top notch quality machines.

Just curious if everyone is on the "dlask sucks" wagon just because someone said it once.

I don't kiss ass or sugarcoat becuase i'm a dealer,I'll always tell it like i see it.

The main problem with Dlask is the same than with a Norinco, one rifle can be a work of art, and the next one could be the worst lemon ever.

This is to be expected from a 500$ Norinco AR, but not from a 1700$-to-2000$ Dlask AR.

So where exactly do you think they are poor?
Fit and finish?
Design?
what

Keeping within tolerances. Sure, most of those can be corrected, but why should I whip out the dremel tool or start swapping parts on a new rifle?

To clarify, my comments as to product refer to their AR's.

Fit and finish.

I have a lower receiver from them.

NOTHING fits. Nothing.

I had to redrill the FCG pin hole, pivot pin whole, buffer retainer hole, trigger guard holes... UGHHHH !!! FAR from spec. And i was using CMT parts kit...

Oh and did i mention only one brand of mags fit in and work half??

well then,what about you?
what do you have from dlask?

I own a 14" shotgun barrel from dlask, when recieved second hand I soon found out why the seller sold it, the chamber was incorrectly cut and the lock up area of the barrel that allows the trigger group to lock the slide forward was uncut at all......

so far it has cost me about $250 to have it fixed at my gunsmith....

Another experience I had was with a dlask ar15 upper.... none of my optics would mount to it as both the reciever and the free float pictanny mount was out of spec, also the lower had the screw hole for the pistol grip drilled wrong, at an angle....

let me ask you this, how many canadian dealers have you seen with a half dozen brand new dlask AR15's sitting on the wall ready for sale ?? .... none is going to be the answer because I don't believe Dlask cares about "mass" market civilian sales.... I believe he is happy building one off guns on request. and/or selling stripped lowers. (when he has them in stock)

DLASK has been around at least 10 years that I know of and has had ample opprotunity to join the mass market canadian gun market but he has refused to step up..... why would he do so now ??

That's real strange,i've seen and heard of others that have received beautiful guns from them.

Why are they always at one extreme or the other?

How many dlask products do you own?

Now that is a funny question coming from you, YOU DON'T OWN ANY DLASK EITHER !!! so your "friend" has 2x 1911's and an ar15, good for him... when you get some first hand experience then come back and defend them.

DLASK is an awesome pistolsmith, I will not deny him kudo's on that but his AR15's suck.

I dumped 4 boxes through one of his 1911's last time we were out, gobs more on other trips.
is that not firsthand enough?

Add in the oogle time, chatting and looking them over closely i think i can have my say.
All i saw with these 3 is good work, and good shooters,so i was wondering where all the bad juju was coming from.

no, you where being a cheerleader ignoring the facts that several notable and experienced members of this board and hardcore ar15 users brought forward....

there are times to listen, times to use the search function and so on.... you get the drift. I am surprized sparrow has not commented in this thread, at hunters in vancouver they have seen 100's of dlask rifles that they have had to work on.....

sure the rifles are pretty, but try bolting on any milspec parts or even try inserting one of your vaunted PMAGS.... good luck on that, or you better have your dremel ready.
