There's a ton of guys here who have taken offense to my calling out a local shop. Perhaps I oughtn't to have asked the rest of you not to shop there, but I simply have not had good experiences there. I was simply sharing that with the greater community. There's a plethora of these sorts of posts on this site, I did not feel I was unjustified in posting another.
I did not mean to offend by my use of the word "redneck." My apologies if some of you felt slighted. I must point out, however, that there is a cliquey nature to some outdoors shops that I do not care for. I was born and raised rurally and I know well the difference between a true outdoorsman and what I would term a redneck. I think many of you are familiar with this distinction. I have family members and close family friends who are indeed earthy people, but have never once made me feel an outsider. Many outdoors shops have made me feel this way. This, to me, is not acceptable business practice.
I also appreciate all the suggestions for other shops.
FYI, Rusty Wood Trading, a CGN member business contacted me and provided me with what I was looking for. I'd like to publicly thank them.
