I drove out to my favorite old hunting spot this afternoon, parked and started walking north into a light breeze. I got about 100 yds and thought, "Hmm, this is just too cold for an old geezer (I tuned 63 today) and went back to the truck. It was -17 according to the truck thermometer. So I just "truck hunted" for the rest of the afternoon. YES - I TRUCK HUNTED!! I just putted around on the trails in the pasture and enjoyed the scenery.
At a little grade across a draw, I came across running water! In the 40 some years I've hunted out here, I had never seen water running there this late in the year. Here's a couple of pics:
** This thread need not develop into a "holier than thou I don't truck hunt" smear campaign.**
