2.3.9.Pistol’s safe handling is ensured with a reliable thumb safety
that blocks the slide and firing mechanism with the hammer cocked or
uncocked. Additionally, the pistol is provided with a half-#### arrangement
which prevents the hammer from striking against the firing pin if you drop
your pistol or your thumb slips from the hammer on cocking.
I think they mean it's a rebound type hammer or something similar to this, there's no actual half #### notch as you noticed.
It's a "half" #### safety... not the actual half, it's just enough to make sure hammer doesn't strike the pin. I will post pictures with explanation shortly
Ok, when you pull the trigger hammer drops to make 90 degrees angle with frame and strikes the firing pin.

When you don't pull the trigger hammer doesn't go all the way forward and prevents contact with firing pin. try to disassemble the gun and push the hammer forward as on my picture. it would not go. This is what they translated as a half #### safety

seen , thanks , there is a box lying besides u in pics bearing words " canada version". does viking mp 446 is produced in country wise versions or baikal has a unified production system making pistols of same standard world over ?................. besides plz tell that the frame of steel version 2010- is really made of steel or or it is made some kind of alloy or aluminium
